I got out of a two year relationship recently with someone that I will always love. He was a part of my life for so so long and I was so wrapped up in his life that I pushed my own to the side. When our relationship ended, I felt as though I'd lost everything. But as I started to pick up the pieces of my life, I realized that I had a family that loved me, friends that cared about me dearly, and so many other things that I'd lost sight of. This song directly captured what I went through. I keep a copy of it in my car and in my binders so that if I get down or start hurting, I can read it and remember that I'm a strong person and I CAN make it on my own.
