He was fignting a drug problem and an illness (Lymes disease) that the medication caused reactions mentally. The night before he killed himself he called his parents. When they hung up they made plans to see him the next day (he didnt live local), but felt that he was ok for the night. When they went to see him the next morning he had killed himself and left a suicide note. I can only imagine that the message left by "mom" at first of the song was the exact same thing that would have been left by his mom that next day. The song hits home for me and anyone else that knew Curry and the battle he was fighting. I wonder if his family has heard the song? I am sure that they would pick up on the similarities if so.... These guys had the same effect, to paraphrase Robert Heinlein: "It's like drinking three shots of wiskey on an empty stomach." This is exactly WHY I have artists as heros: exposing yourself so completely so another person can have a way to express THEIR own experiences takes a courage few posess.
