And seeing as to everyone hating on them, is it because this is a somewhat serious song by them and its not about "the girl at the rock show". This is one of the first songs I heard from them, and if they're so bad, why've they been around so many years, unlike you're new-aged slipknot, look where they're at..Broken up and nowhere. They feel off the face of the planet how fast? 2.5 seconds. So for the rest of people hating, I agree with the anonymous that said if you've got hate for them, and can only bash on them why aren't you looking up lyrics you like and actually say something nice about something you DO like. Creating hostility will get you nowhere. First, how good the song is is a matter of opinion. So it is "Damn good" to some, and not to others, such as yourself. 2. I really don't even know who "Travis" is. Except the assumption that he's in Blink-182. 3. "Dammit" doesn't necessarily imply that that word is used repeatedly in a song. But rather the summary of the songs meaning. If it were to be titled "Dammit" for your reason I would rather go with "Growing up" as it is said more frequently. The bands you all label punk were living that lifestyle and were deemed punk kids by the "proper" people. It's all about doing what you want when you want, nothing more. Its fast paced and simple which is exactly what needs to be herd sometimes. It reminds me of some good highschool parties and some ex girls i have. Ill agree that the band isent "punk" as its known today but who honestly cares. There doesent have to be complicated notes or in depth lyrics, its fast, simple and is always good to listen to before going to a bar or party, just puts people in a drinking mood.
