Lifted From LUPANG PINANGAKO, a song of Filipino Group ASIN | Reviewer: daniel reyes | 3/28/06
Just for the information of everybody. The portion of the APL SONG of the Black Eyed Peas in FILIPINO lyrics "lapit mga kaibigan..." seems to be literally lifted from an original song of a Filipino group called ASIN from Mindanao, Philippines. This ASIN song, entitled LUPANG PINANGAKO, (meaning, "Land of Promise" as Mindanao is popularly known) expresses concern about the unstable, volatile peace and order situation in the province of Cotabato in particular and the island of Mindanao as whole where many people are displaced, live in fear, and can not move on with their socio-economic life because of armed conflict
I LOVED IT! <3 | Reviewer: Dawn | 1/6/06
This song is really telling what life is like in the Philippines. It's nothing like America. Fuck the ghetto of America, that's nothing compared to the Philippines. Not even close. This song makes some people realize how lucky they are. So many stuck up && conceited people in America. =[
Good song | Reviewer: Uberathlete | 8/18/05
First time I heard this song the chorus reminded me of a Freddie Aguilar chorus. This song just evokes a lot of emotion without sounding cheesy. Good stuff.
I really liked this song. | Reviewer: girl | 4/21/05
