------ performed by Billy Joel
Are you lot blind?-I know this woman too!! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/3/08
Brilliant portrait about a woman who's been hurt by something or other and this has hardened her and made her strong. She's hiding behind a cruel front but she has a good heart-when she rarely let's the gaurd down. This song reminds me of someone close to my heart...Billy Joel is absolutely amazing!!

"A hideous vision of what it means to be a woman | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/23/2007
Anyone who will carelessly cut you and laugh while you are bleeding is horrible, especially if they do it more than once and should know better.
Such a person is not noble, as another comment suggests. Anyone who has been chronically verbally abused by another person, whether male or female, who will cut you repeatedly and laugh in the aftermath knows this all too clearly.
This song is not about women but, rather, a poor misguided person who accepts deep and enduring flaws in his mate to her detriment and his."
I AM this woman. Down to a T. I carelessly cut my boyfriend because I'm clumzy and we work at a pizzeria and handly knives all the time. By careless, he means "clumzy", not purposely cutting him.. do you think Billy Joel would write a song about a crazy bitch that just runs up and cuts him? I don't think so. Get a @)%&@#$%&@#* clue!!!!!!
a real hero | Reviewer: stephany | 1/22/08
this is one of the things that make men superior to woman,
you see, there is nothing a woman can do to a man, that the man will eventually grow out of, and even be able to write a son about it.
I lived with her ....... | Reviewer: Bill | 1/20/08
This was my song for the "love of my life" - Robyn. We were both young, and so in love. She was so feminine and womanly, and completely faithful to me. She made me feel so in love - at all times. Intelligent, beautiful, and so very very soft. I miss her dearly ...
warm hearted... | Reviewer: clyde | 1/17/08
the song makes all woman touch their hearts... it's not usually all woman does rather the song is kind of woman's worth... and about the composer, he/she falls inlove with someone and saw the great value of a woman not because of the outside appearance but the main value of woman itself..........
Soulfuly touching | Reviewer: Janae | 1/14/08
This song is lovely in the ironic sense.Reminiscent of Fitgerald's works. Shows life for it's realistic saddness and jaded state of being but makes it beautiful by embracing it. This woman is srong- probably had to work hard to get to that level of cynical hardness and resilience. That's a good way to be not the best but the most real these days. Even for a youn high-schooler. But soon I too will be one of those women. I'm proud of it.
I know this woman | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/31/07
and I started to fall for her. She brought me up and slammed me down. Definitely a socio-path and I loved every minute of it (well almost). Love this song

no one can be perfect | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/3/07
i love this song. the lyricist here is trying to tell guys that looking for the perfect woman is a waste of your time! Everyone has their flaws and true love is about accepting that. This song is very true and very realistic. I LOVE IT
Brilliance | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/29/07
There's no doubt Billy Joel is a brilliant lyricist. he's describing what it means to truly love someone for all their faults and gifts. There are not many people out there that get to experience this sort of love from another human being, and to be honest, i love the woman in the song. she reminds me of me.
