Personally, I feel it reflects me and my own personality and it speaks directly to my heart. It describes a woman at her core. Sharp to those she doesn't know or those who may try to hurt her or the ones she loves dearly. Sometimes rougher than necessary with those she loves but continuing to love them nonetheless. I view this song more as a man talking about the woman he loves to a stranger in terms of what she would be like to the stranger, not just the person she loves. Many of us fiercely love someone not just despite their flaws, but because of them. Simply because she CAN be that way, doesn't mean that's the way she treats him. Personally, I treat people I don't know with a pile of caution. It takes a long time to get into my "inner circle" and for good reasons. Many women are just like me. We're not a "one size fits all" gender. We treat different people differently based on our experiences and our life lessons.
