my junior high chamber choir sang this with a four part harmony (saprano, alto, tenor, bass) and it was gorgeous. we had a solo for tenor in stanzas 3 and 5 and he just had such a beautiful way of singing it. it was really amazing.

WONDERFUL | Reviewer: Amy | 1/9/08

Christmas Choir | Reviewer: R.S. | 12/15/07

We`re 18 women singing in a choire since several years and just tomomorrow, on the the third of Advent we`ll perform this song during a little concert. Every time we rehearse it I feel that the lyrics mean something very personal to every singer. Not many songs have such an intimate message. It is not easy to sing it a cappella and hold the pitch but it`s worse working on it.

what a beautiful song! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/9/07

We sang this song in our honor choir with 6 people in a four part harmony (3 female parts one male part) and we had to perform it and i was holding back tears the whole time because it sounds so gorgeous with the harmonies and the song itself is so meaningful.

one of my favs! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/2/07

i love this song.its one of my alll time favourites to listen to. my music teacher loves billy joel and introduced me to it. ive tried to convince him to let us sing it in the choir and if not in the choir then at least in the small one. but being the teacher he is just said i'll think about it.so. for the who sang it if he ver comes back, did you have the girls sing it to? cuz thats his only real problem. that and we only have 5 guys besides me in a choir of 30-40

one of my favs! | Reviewer: spencer | 11/2/07

one of my favourite songs by far! i've asked my music teacher to let us sing this in the choir.. but being the teacher he is said i'll think about it. so this is mainly to the guys who made the first post.. we have a choir of 25-30 peoples. and only 8 guys including me, so... how do you include the girls?

amazing | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/1/07

I first sang this song when I was in a middle school choir; I didn't really understand it then, but now it brings tears to my eyes. I love Billy Joel in general, but I do believe that this was one of his greatest!

It was so lovely | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/29/07

I think the song was very well put together and when they sang the song I was in pices because it was so wonderful and I will never forget how it went. My favorite part was the base part because when the basses would go down it was so awesome how they did it. My choir performed the song and so I got to sing the base part and it didnt sound as good as the king singers. but it was okay.

Some people remember | Reviewer: Dave | 10/19/07

Some people remember exactly where they were when they heard JFK had been shot.

I remember exactly where I was when I heard this song. I had to pull over and cried my eyes out. Several failed relationships later, it still brings tears to my eyes because it is so true. The man is a genius.

lasting love | Reviewer: norsewoman | 8/29/07

This melody, these lyrics reside in the stores of my heart, keeps my demons at a distance, and brightens the light that glows in the depth of my eyes.
I cherish this song that lives on and on and on.

Amazing, soulful! | Reviewer: Cheree | 7/12/07

Thanks Boston Legal for introducing me to this beautiful song - it really did work so perfectly with the scene! Yup, I'm on the bandwagon too and will be picking up a Billy Joel cd with this pearl on it :)

Storm Front - album | Reviewer: MA | 7/2/07

Hi RA,
It's originally from Storm Front - it's the last track if I remember correctly.

And So It Continues | Reviewer: R. A. | 6/22/07

And so it goes that I came here looking for the Album from where this melody on Joel's Fantasies & Delusions (Opus 10. Air) originates. And I read some interesting posts.

If you like Joel as a lyricist, try his Classical pieces from Fantasies and Delusions. It was panned for pretensiousness but unjustly so by people without an ear for Joel's earlier works. The melodies seem to spring up here and there in the classical compositions demonstrating he does have the chops to hold his own either as concert hall performer in Vienna or as a Piano Bar singer in Cold Harbor.

Now, if I could only find the Album where this song comes from..... And So It Goes: on what CD is this song?

The truth is so pure and potent, it needs NO additives or artificial coloring - only words of integrity! This song has all the necessary ingredients to reach anyone's heart.
