I do believe that she was able to grasp some memorable times doing what she loved, which was singing, her voice truly was as a delicate instrument and she is sorely missed in the world of Music. A lot of young people today probably don't have knowledge of who she was and what she had to offer the music world, I say too bad for them and maybe she will be discovered by those who are unknowing. I hope that she is kept alive by people who do have knowledge of her and love and respect what she had to offer. I was fortunate enough to gain knowledge of her first through my father at a very young age and then was able to share the love for this artist with my husband. Billie Holiday is my favorite artist in the world and while there are numerous other artists out there that are just phenominal, Lady Day, is my number 1 favorite.
