I love this song I could just eat it right up and it would taste delicous! I never want to stop listening to it (or eating it) If anyone knows Ben Fold tell him I want to spend the rest of my life with him cause I LOVE HIM!
Finally, I've discovered someone who can write, play and sing | Reviewer: Cindy | 1/9/2008
I don't know what's up with that Nashville boy but I heard a couple of Ben Folds' songs on the radio and have since discovered a payload of great-sounding tunes. Annie Waits is my favorite. I love the musical arrangement and vocals, and the the lyrics aren't embarrassing or nonsensical like those of a lot of pop and rock songs.
my new favourite artist Ben Folds | Reviewer: Rob | 10/20/2007
I completely disagree... I find the music, hooks and lyrics are top notch. This is some great pop. Folds cover of Bi%ches Ain't Sh*t was pure genius. Perhaps if you are not a fan of the singer-songwriter thing them maybe Ben Folds is not for you but the singing and writing are better than Sophomoric emo (whatever that is).
I totally missed the "My Three Sons" reference. Sorry

Ben Folds is a Mediocre Lyricist at best | Reviewer: Johnny Barrett | 5/22/2007
I'm yawning over here. Amazing that BF actually ever had or still has a career. I'm sure he's a nice fellow but really now: if this is considered "good music" then our standards have reached an all time low. Very "Americana" to be sure. His lyrics are like Sophomore poetry by some chick who thinks she's tripping her brains out on the mediocre weed she just smoked. Yes, some of BF has never been heard before . . . and maybe there's a good reason for that. Keep it in the diary I'd say or on the cocktail napkins that sit under all the other junk on your dresser or desk.
Seriously, I feel like I'm listening to My Morning Jacket - as they would sound if they were on prozac. That is to ask this all important question at this low period in American music:
BF:As a writer, does the Melody mean anything to you?
Just because you are a success does NOT mean that you are very good. Look at Britney Spears . . .?
Look at George Bush . . .?
Coca Cola . . .?
I've mentioned "things" that are successful but not necessarily "good".
On the subject of Vocal talent. Hmmm. There really isn't any. His pitch is good though.
Sorry to be so harsh but I've seen enough episodes of My Three Sons and frankly I'm sick of it.
Sincerely,
Johnny Barrett
