A Second Chance | Reviewer: Comfort W. | 9/1/09

I love this song so much. Not only because the the lyrics but also the extraordinary voice. It shows how human we are.... sometimes we do not actaully realise what we really have, until it slips away....... Did Mandy give him a second chance? I think he deserved just that!

i just finished singing this song out loud to myself. It sounded like a duet that i would have always loved to do with Barry.
Right after the song ended i felt teary eyed.My legs were shaking and i lost my voice. It was then i realised i was busting to go to the toilet.
Thanks Barry for all the memories.

Credit where it's due | Reviewer: Ronnie | 9/4/08

Without taking anything away from the melodic songs of Barry Manilow, it is a bit annoying to read all the thanks and acknowledgements he gets for the song Mandy. True, it has beautiful lyrics and a haunting melody, BUT, this song was released a few years before by the original (Scott English and Richard Kerr)who DID write both the lyrics and melody. All Barry Manilow had to do was change the name from Brandy to Mandy and re release it. Love the song, but please give all your thanks to the correct people.

Fantastic song | Reviewer: bonbon | 7/10/08

I first heard this song featured in one of the episodes in Family Guy, the melodies were so nice that I had to listen to it on the internet and after looking at the lyrics I just feel so lucky to be able to get to know Barry's songs.

Oh Me Oh My Oh Mandy | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/5/08

The first time I heard this song was just after my great-great aunt Mandoline had just passed away at the tender age of 104. We loved Auntie Mandy and to this day I cannot hear this song without thinking of her soft peanut brittle. I know what you're thinking... peanut brittle isn't supposed to be soft. But, with Mandy it was. And that's also the power that Barry Manilow has. For years, my son was quite abusive to our family pet, Baxter. But one day I picked him from school with my Barry Manilow Greatest Hits album playing loudly. He immediately began sobbing as Barry melted his hard heart. Baxter was never kicked again. Thank you Barry, your legacy will live on forever.

Wedding song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/14/08

my daughter, who wasn't even born before Mandy was released, was on holidays in Thailand with her boyfriend. They were enjoying a romantic evening dinner when they were approached by 3 musicians in the restaurant.
"What would they like to hear?" "play anything you'd like" they answered.
The musicians sang a beautiful rendition of "Mandy". Would you believe that? It was during this song, listening to the lovely words and the very beautiful rendition of the song, looking into each other's eyes, that they realized they were in love.....deeply. My daughter was just married and recounted this story. Needless to say...Mandy is their song.

Mandy, for ever and ever | Reviewer: María Fernanda | 9/16/07

Tengo 41 años, soy argentina y crecí, me enamoré, lloré, fui feliz, con las hermosas melodías de Barry.
Pero, Mandy...siempre está ahí para recordarnos porqué los clásicos son clásicos...

My first favorite song that stayed with me for 30 years | Reviewer: Kathleen O'Shea | 8/25/07

I was 12 years old when I first heard “Mandy” on the radio, the song made me cry at such a young age. I lost most of my hearing between 1975 and 1976, so I could not hear music anymore. In January 2005, I had a cochlear implant by May 2005, I was hearing music again for the first time in about 30 yrs. Truly a wonderful gift! The first thing I did was went out and purchased as many '70's CDs as I could. It's a great gift to be able to hear song “Mandy“ again. During my years of deafness I would still sing "Mandy", it was one song I kept in my head for many year. Thank you Barry Manilow for such an emotional song, I love it!
