Anyways, as for the line "Remember that I'll always love you", if you recall, it comes at the point where he is reading his mother's suicide note. So, it isn't to do with anything mushy, and the soundtrack was actually made by Badly Drawn Boy SPECIFICALLY for this movie. A Minor Incident? I Think Not. | Reviewer: Sophie | 8/11/05 So, About A Boy, was another Hugh Grant film, all English accents and dry wit, which no-one has anything against I'm sure. But his films are generally spoiled by a tragic soundtrack (think Notting Hill-Ronan Keating) that actually makes you want to tear your own eyes out rather than watch again. But the whole of the About A Boy soundtrack makes you melt. From start to finish it inspires you to find a lonely ten year old boy of your own and treat him like a son, because his mother's depressed. And then you can spend Christmas with them and buy him a CD that will make him cool! And then he'll get 'that' girl, and you'll no longer be an island, and everyone will feel warm and fuzzy inside, all year round. Maybe. Well, ok, a slight exageration perhaps, but nevertheless. The musical highpoint of the film (other than a brief burst of Rainy Days And Mondays, obviously) is A Minor Incident. I, for one, cannot recall a song that says 'Just Remember I'll Always Love you' in that doesn't make me want to gag. But for some reason, be it the soft guitar, or the fact that you're hysterical by the time the tune kicks in anyway, you actually believe that the Badly Drawn Boy blokey loves you.
