yeah.. this song kicks ass. Its really made me think. Its so.. insightful and sends so many messages. It makes you think about the importance of life and how each day is valuable. I love how "seize the day or die regretting the time you lost" is said so bluntly. Its true; either you seize the day or regret the time you lost. And by not seizing each and every day you WILL regret it. I pretty much sing it all the time just to remind myself to actually seize the day, and it motivates me.
Some of the things i got from this song were that: the people you will ache over throughout your life will someday be gone, and you'll have nothing left but the memories which will fade with time...but you think your time with them will last forever. Thats why its so important to seize the day because Nothing lasts forever, so why not enjoy the time you have, with the people you love, in the present moment? That way, when you do lose them, you'll look back and say to yourself, "I miss them, but the time i spent with them was wonderful so i dont regret anything." By seizing the day you're also not regretting things like "oh i should have done this or i should have done that". Make the best of everything. Seize the time you have on this earth and make a difference in your life and the lives of those around you. Love yourself and love those who are of importance in your life. Show yourself and those, that love.

i hate when people say that the song means something or is about something. that is just how YOU INTERPRET it. Only the person how wrote it can tell you what it really means. that doesn't mean that it can't have a different purpose for you. so stop telling people that they are wrong, and stop acting like you KNOW what songs are about. relax and enjoy the music and let it speak to you, and mean what you want it to.

this song is a song because its a song and song or its a song and a song without the songness of the song which leads me to my conclusion of it being a song and this will be the song of all songs which i think will be a song in the long run. i only think that this is a song becuase it sounds like a song, why not hey...

I think this song is awesome. I'd never really heard of Avenged Sevenfols till my mate requested I'd watch the video and I had tears in my eyes.

Most people like said before, say A7X's lyrics are based on an incomprehensible fantasy that does not, and should not, be apart of the lives of younger children. I see this false, none of the lyrics are "fantasy" which in literature (music is basically literature put to music, poems or tales) means pretty much always a tale. Now most tales have a meaning or an Idea, all A7X's songs have an Idea behind them. People just can't evaluate them and see the true meanings.

This song falls nothing short of this amazing bar set by A7X.
