the song is just about seizing the day, and the ones you love, to hold them near and cherish every moment you have with them, because one day, they're not going to be there any more.

i'm 99.9% sure this hasn't happened to any of the band members. I heard, and I have no reason to doubt the person I heard it from, that M Shadows actually wrote this song as an engagement proposal to his girlfriend, Valerie. Since we all know they're engaged and soon to be married, it worked. So it's his proposal song to her, saying how much he loves her and never wants to leave her, the video of the song just shows how terrible it could be if someone did not seize the day and cherish every moment with their loved ones (hence the beggining with M Shadows & Valerie recording and talking to their unborn child).

is there anyone who really knows what this song is about? is the lyrics kinda true, did it happen to someone of the band-members? i'd really like to know, because i love this song.. and i actually consider to get a tatoo of :"Seize the day or die regretting the time you lost" ;D is that a good idea?!

You know what's sad is that people post things about their lover dying in a fatal accident and they were listening to this song a week before.. It's kinda funny that everyone they loved was killed in a car accident. I wonder..... if maybe they were visiting you in jail because you robbed a convenient store and they wrecked on their way home. Quit posting bullshit sympathy just because it actually happened to other people. =/

I Kinda Didnt Like The Song The First Time I Heard It Then After The Second Time I fell In Love with it and i cant stop playing it..lol...It reminds me of my Love who was killed in a fatal Car Accedent.

His motto in life was to Seize the Day and he lived more life in his 34 years than most do in a lifetime He had a fatal car accident a month later. I will never be the same. I hope there is eternal life but if there isn't I'm glad that my beloved Mike seized the day.

This song is one of the best songs Avenged Sevenfold has never written but even though it's one of their songs EVER it's still really sad. But, I have to admit the guitar solo is AWSOME!!
