Seriously, the band is purely a manifestation of what I used to dream about. The guitaring... I swear I've heard it before. With the harmonies and perfect drum solos I could only imagine, and now, here they are, in Avenged Sevenfold. Also, I've always been a fan of flamenco music, guitarists like Carlos Santana especially... so when I heard Avenged Sevenfold break into flamenco at the end of Sidewinder, well, I think I almost died and went to heaven. I have never heard of anything, nor will I hear anything in my future, something so perfectly awesome as this band. Shadow(lead singer) can scream & sing, Synester Gates & Zacky Vengeance( Lead/Guitarist are the best guitar duo ive ever heard. The bassist Johnny Christ is krazzy with the bass guitar. & The rev can do the double bass better than ive ever heard. This amazing combonation results in an amazing sound. They have wrote pretty much all of their lyrics. The newest city of evil still has the same kick-ass tinge to it. But less screamo than there 2nd album waking the fallen, city of evil (3rd). The more theyve played the more theyve matured as a band & in result theyve gotten better the city of evil album blew me away. These guys can play, A7X 4 ever. Best ever. I personally prefer the album "walking the fallen" FOR VOCALS because there is No! other scream that sounds like M.Shadows ( chapter four, unholy confessions, second heartbeat and abviously Eternal Rest.) The 05' Warped Tour (Barrie) Avenged put on an amazing show, but if the screams were like they used to be (warped 04')then this band would be F*cking Amazing (not that thay arent) IF there ever is an album with instrumentals like "City of Evil" and Vocals like "Walking the Fallen" It will be a Masterpiece!
