For those of you... | Reviewer: DonnieBox | 8/15/09
For those of you who have NOT served in any of the Armed Forces, who have NOT been to Iraq, your OPINION does not matter. Quit stating your opinions as facts. You really don't know shit, unless you're in that select minority of civilians who studies foreign politics, in which case please ignore my ranting. But for you narrow-minded fucks who think that Iraq never had WMDs, you're wrong. Suicide bombers, EFPs, EKGs, RPGs and IEDs... All are WMDs. They have been using all of these in the middle east for years, and yes, this does include Iraq. So for you ignorant anti-war fucks, shut up. You're really only making yourselves look like assholes.
As for this anonymous pussy:
"is because he said they had destructive weapons which they obviously don't cause we have yet to find any"... Several members of our armed forces have found "destructive weapons", and many of them have been maimed and killed by them, you stupid fuck. Shut the hell up. You don't know shit. It's people like you that make me glad I spend so much time fighting overseas, away from my family and friends.. Thanks for supporting all of us serving in the armed forces you pussy.
chills and support | Reviewer: R.R. | 8/18/09
The first time I heard this song I thought the sound was the most amazing thing I had ever heard...so I decided to look up the lyrics WHILE listening to the song again. It gave me CHILLS. Every line in this song was so sad and so true.
Personally I hate war. It's not ever glorious or fun or exciting. It's a terrible event where thousands of people lose their lives. However, I do believe in some cases it is necessary to go to war to defend your values, your people, and your country. So if you hate war that's fine I agree. But don't insult the men and women who give their lives to defend ours. They are AMAZINGLY courageous and selfless to do what they do, especially knowing that many of the people they are dying for insult them at every turn. Our soldiers should not under any cirumstances receive insults...they should be supported. In fact, if it wasn't for the soldiers sacrifice all you who insult them probably wouldn't even be FREE to say HALF the things you say now.
On a lighter note I totally love Avenged Sevenfold all their songs have real meaning to them, unlike other bands that sing about nothing but drugs and money and hookers. Keep up those great albums and I'll keep on buying!
P.S. I'm so proud of myself for not using any profanity :P this is an issue I feel very strongly about.
iraq is done... | Reviewer: rocky234 | 8/4/09
this song can be for a lot of wars ppl killing for fun and stuff like that but the one thing i dont agree on is dieing for a lost cause. iraq is always going to be in this so called "holy war" its been going on since god him self was here on this place and its not going to end just bcuz sum country says "stop fighting! make peace and democracy." its too late for them its blood ppl they aint going to stop spilling it till this world ends or we end it with a big fat nuke. im sorry but thats the hard truth its time to protect our own place we call home. america is slowing dieing and we cant revive it with a war we have spent billions maybe trillions idk but its time for those troops we got left to come home to their kids. im sick of pro war ppl when america is going to hell!! makes me sick. shame shame......
Shut up dumbasses | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/2/09
Don't talk about stuff you know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about. I could writes lists about stuff your wrong about especially that shit about this being a war on terror. And FYI fuck face the reason why we haven't gained anything is because we had a shitty ass president who is a HUGE MEAT GAZING DUMBASS. And the war on Iraq isn't because of the twin towers which was years before it started Bush was able to declare war on Iraq is because he said they had destructive weapons which they obviously don't cause we have yet to find any. And that horse shit about genocides that that cock shiner miles parker talked about was stupid the only genocide that we stopped was the holocaust with Hitler cause japan involved us not because we wanted to help those people and there have been more than seven genocides that we knew and know about and have done nothing to stop it cause it does not benefit us don't believe me there is a place in Africa called darfur in nigeria that has a genocide happening right know and has been for a while now and we've done zip so why don't you choke on that cock miles parker you should check out your facts before displaying them you dipshit
i'm back | Reviewer: Miles Parker | 7/28/09
I decided to shut up and see how things would progress, but I see a couple of things that bother me. I hate to return to the subject, but I'll say it again; the war is a war on terror. We haven't gained anything from this war; not oil, not money, not land. However, I'm willing sacrifice (whether it be comfort, money, or my life) to protect other countries who don't have the strength to protect themselves. It was a mass genocide. Until all the terrorists are killed (they have to be killed; you can't reason with, or change the mind of a murdeous freak), this genocide will continue if we pull out now. Yes others may arise in their place, but the only thing needed for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. I don't think the government is hiding anything about this war. If they were, I'm sure the soldiers would figure it out by now. They're the ones carrying out the orders. God bless the Military!

Two Million Soldiers Can't be Wrong | Reviewer: Taylor | 7/8/09
i agree with Dan Gleesack in the fact that the citizens of america think they know everything about the war. we never really do. the government has its own secrets. that's what this song is about- the soldiers don't know why they're there, but they do what they can to stay alive. my favorite line in the song is "two million soldiers can't be wrong" because that's what goes through the soldiers' heads. if everyone is fighting for our country, we must be doing something right. this song supports our troops without supporting war. i love this song and i hope everyone sees the TRUE meaning behind it.
just enjoy the song | Reviewer: Dan Gleesack | 7/2/09
people. you dont really understand what is actually happening with the war. you people just see it as a huge political ordeal. They are not even telling the soldiers there why the hell they are there, well the real reason at that. Everyone is acting like they know the whole thing to this war. No one really does besides the Government. They are called cover up stories for a reason. So just enjoy the song.
truth and lies | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/22/09
love this song so much. the only line that i didnt care for was "two million soldiers can't be wrong". our side(america) is right, because we were attacked, and people that refuse to accept that need to get a reality check.
as for the sound, brilliance. hard to not enjoy it. as with all their songs.
seriously? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/14/09
The war is going on because they flew 2 fucking planes into the twin towers. But no! Let's be nice to them. They've probably had a change in heart! Bullshit. Al Qaeda needs to be taken out immediatly before any more innocent people are murdered. My best friends dad is in the marines and he says the same exact thing.
Not trying disgrace A7X with this. They're an amazing band.
They've said... | Reviewer: Rebecca Bayless | 5/18/09
Johnny Christ was talking about what he believed M.I.A was about in his own words that "The impact of the MIA thing was that we have a lot of friends of ours that have gone to Iraq. Some of them have come back and some of them haven't. The ones that have come back, we get our chance to hang out with them. They tell some pretty crazy stories of what they have seen, because a lot of our friends have been in the front line. We just kind of wrote about their experiences, of what has gone on there. It is not so much a political song, it is just about the stories we have heard from our friends."
And I think he's actually telling the truth. I mean, why would someone lie about what their lyrics were about?
I actually think its a brilliant song and I love it soo much. Its my second or third favorite from them.
admiration | Reviewer: CavDawg | 5/14/09
among many bands that support us soldiers, aside from megadeth, is avenged sevenfold, and ive got to say songs like these make me proud of what i am and what i do, it seems like nowadays were babykillers and murderers. and with some of those terms like "Take this from my consciousness and please erase my dreams" and for those of us who have been in the pit "Scared to make it out alive now, murder's all I know" it gives people a real perspective on what we go through, and the recognition is much appreciated
Iraq War? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/13/09
My impression of the song was that it was about the vietnam war. I'm not sure if A7X has already said they had Iraq war on their minds, or if its just your impressions, but it just sounded more relevant to the events of the vietnam war to me. Just my opinion.

Nice. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/30/09
Awesome song. Great guitar work. Truthful lyrics. Brilliant drumming. Hard hitting message. Great band. And I said all that without using a single curse word. Amazing, isn't it?
Ladies, gents, the war is between the american soldiers and the people of Iraq. I highly doubt that your lives affect what happens there. Unless of course you're a soldier yourself or are related to one. Or even a medic. They go through a lot. I'm not out there and I can't get into Bush's head so I can't exactly say what this war is about, but I can say that I don't agree with going to war for a faction. I'm South African by the way.
Once again, Great band, great and meaningful songs.
