The lyrics have nothing to do with satanism. It is a third party view of someone who wishes to gain inner power over their inner demons and escape the sort of control mechanism used by authority figures (such as those within the christian religion). Angela is quite clever in the way that she expresses this, so that the listener can draw a conclusion based on their own perspectives about life. Anyone who read's Angela's story will discover that she is a vegetarian who has the same hopes, fears, and struggles in life that many of us do. She hopes for a better world where the "Tyrants" and soul sucking "vampiric authority figures) will be upended by "the people". This band totally rocks.
