This song is one of the best I've ever heard. From the lyrics to the way Bocelli interprets it, it simply blows me away. I love the Live version recorded in Las Vegas. Especially the part when he sang "Para darnos el más dulce de los besos" (We give each other the sweetest of kisses) no exaggeration but with impact Andrea Bocelli sang it perfectly! BRAVO!

I met a beautiful woman from Venezuela two plus years ago. We touched each other's hearts and minds and souls. We talked about our loves and our lives and the things that make us the people that we are. We think about each other every day although she lives far away. We chat on-line. I write poems and songs for her, to her, my homage to the most beautiful woman in the world. One night, last August, as I sat at my computer and we chatted, she linked this song to me. As we listened, she being 1500 miles away she typed the words in Spanish and for me, a silly old white boy, in English. With these words and that music I was touched beyond physical, beyond spiritual, beyond emotional. Somos Novios.

Somos novios and the song Te extraño, both are truly romantic songs in the best way possible written by the great Mexican composer Armando Manzanero, with new and great musical arrangements.
I really enjoy the recent Bocelli production, Amore, full with songs in spanish, that remind me my childhood in the 60's, when my grandmother used to play those big LP's, and I hear the songs, Amapola, Besame mucho, Solamente una vez, in the voices of those years singers.
Somos novios it's a romantic song that probably will be around for many many years.

the song is great! great romantic tune. the most romantic song i have heard although i can't quite grasp the true meaning of the song.( though a filipino, i have to learn more spanish words) i like the interpretation of Andrea Bocelli and Katharine McPhee.
