wow people | Reviewer: Tori | 1/4/09

Guys, seriously its a song. Listen if you Like, if you don't like it, why were you lookin this up in the first place. For those of you that really care if its Christian or not, it has multi meanings, so for one of you guys to be right is ridiculous. wow. just grow up.

re:um hello | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/30/08

Um if you are a christian than what do you mean you dont go to church? Well we dont go to church we go to our fellowship. I'm not saying that if you dont go to church you are going to hell but what I am saying that if you dont go to your fellowship then you can't fellowship with your brothers and sisters in christ if you are not there. god bless you

it does matter!!!!!! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/30/08

umm.... excuse me but whoever said that just because it was written by a christian band doesnt mean it is. You are wrong. Sure anyone can listen to the song and songss like these were actually made for non-christians so if they are someone who relates to this can see that all they need to complete themselves is the lord. Which is very true. ALL YOU NEED IS JESUS!!!!

Religion isn't important | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/21/08

A song is a song, regardless of if the band is Christian or not. People interpret songs in different ways. And just because a band believes in God doesn't mean everything they write is going to be religious. That's like saying if a songwriter is athiest (sp), their music has no meaning since they don't believe in anything. Nobody is right or wrong in saying this song is about God; it is personal interpretation.

Faith is irrelevant | Reviewer: Rosalie | 12/19/08

I'm not christian - but I listen to alot of music performed by christian rock artists because I like the sound of the song and the messages portrayed in songs such as this one are often about issues I can relate to and don't have to be christian to appreciate

Here sums everything up, direct quotes and everything =) | Reviewer: kris v | 12/17/08

Over the years, many fans, critics, and other members of the media have consistently characterized Anberlin as a Christian band. However, Stephen Christian stated in an interview that their faith is more complicated than a simple label: "I think we're categorized like that a lot because we're on Tooth & Nail Records, which, years ago, was known as a Christian label and never lost that reputation. I don't care who listens to our records. If it helps people in whatever circumstances they're in, that's amazing, but I definitely don't classify us as a Christian band."[23] Elsewhere, Christian has remarked, "[My faith] affects every single aspect of my life, but I'm not a preacher, I'm an entertainer."[30]

Despite these statements and others of the like, multiple sources list the band as part of the Christian rock genre, and some Anberlin song lyrics do contain religious references. Furthermore, the band appears at Christian music festivals such as Parachute Music Festival and their songs have been included on Christian rock compilation CDs[31] and DVDs.[32] They are also played on the Gospel Music Channel.[33]

Christian has also said in an interview with Lightforce radio how the band tries to "step out of the bubble" and referred to themselves as being part of Christian music. He discussed in detail what Christians should do in their lives: love and embrace others as Jesus would as well as show God's grace to others. He mentioned as well how the band Fall Out Boy said in an interview that they did not really know much about Jesus until Anberlin toured with them.[34]

In an interview with Smartpunk, drummer Nathan Young commented, "The thing is, some bands that are trying to get out of the Christian market, they get bummed out by questions about it. I don’t really mind it, because I’m a Christian, and I’m okay talking about it. With the whole term “Christian Band,” I don’t understand how a band can be Christian. We get the question, “Is Anberlin a Christian band?” and it’s like, yeah, Anberlin is — as humans".[35]

Who cares? | Reviewer: Bekah | 12/11/08

Either you like the song or you don't. If you're going to look into the meaning, keep your opinion to yourself, don't disturb others thoughts on it just because you think it's good, or you think it's bad. IT'S A SONG. meant to be enjoyed. End of story. Stop arguing about it. We all apparently listen to it. No matter the meaning. So why can't everyone just get over it? If you don't like the song, whatever, Don't listen to it. It's just that simple.

It can have a christian influence and still not be christian | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/11/08

many people mix things up when it comes to christian music and worship music. Worship music is glorifying god, christian music could possibly not be under a christian label, but it still could have christian views and influences.

I like the song, however.. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/9/08

I like the song, but i'm not religious nor do I even believe in good and I don't like to think of this as a godly or religious song. I think it's more sexuality and truth actually, than god-like... if it didn't have the words "sin" and "devil" in it, I don't think you guys would have made the connection, even though the band members are in fact "christians".

idiot | Reviewer: Christopher | 12/5/08

first of all, dumbass, it's anberlin, not amberlin. second, have you read, or even listened to the fucking lyrics? they're pretty obviously faith-based. anberlin is a rock band, and the members are christian. they're not a damn worship band. so yeah, their faith is gonna influence their lyrics, which i think it does a lot in this song, but all their songs are not going to be about god. the feel good drag isn't glorifying sexual impurity, it's illustrating how dangerous it is. so research your shit before you talk it, douchebag.
