But it can be interpreted a lot of ways. For me personally, the line about Lexington might as well be about my dad, who had an affair with a woman in Lexington, Kentucky. Like the subject in the song, my dad just went deeper and deeper into his sinning until and pretty much turned his back on his family. What they're saying is that one bad deed opens the doors to more, and once innocence is lost, there is no turning back. Just because you didn't look closely enough at these words doesn't mean they don't mean something. They certainly do.
