If I can't be my own...I'd feel better dead | Reviewer: Grungy-Soul | 4/3/09

Layne is gone, Alice is quiet. But the music lives on and somewhere there is another Layne waiting for his moment to touch us all. We have our season in the sun and then we are gone. Layne is at peace and so too should we.
nutshell was one of the most passionate song of our time, this song reflected that.first for the words which have influenced us and helped us a lot,cuz the dark & emotive lyrics of nutshell are very much mirrored the pain we felt.
Layne Staley !!! I OWE YOU MY SOBRIETY MAN!! thanks for all \m/

can't be my own | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/4/09

Can we ever be our own person in at all times? Especially in public, at work, possibly in front of friends family members and co-workers. We each fight our own inner battles on our own all the time. Though there may not be many lyrics in the song, it needs no more because the lyrics, as they were written, are so amazingly powerful to many people. I just want to thank Layne for what he gave us while he was here, to use in our personal therapy. N8

some place along the way | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/6/09

Fighting this battle all alone is something I think a lot of people can relate to, but probably not everyone. To me upon hearing those lyrics it always just signified how different and irregular my life has become, how something inside yearns for more, how I feel like no one understands. There is One though that no matter how alone I felt, never left me. Without music to remind us of where we've been and who we are; how will we ever get where we're going?

thank you danielle | Reviewer: Me | 2/21/09

for your story, and I am glad you are in a better place. sometimes we lose ourselves. hearing you found your destiny keeps us all inspired, even with great music. rock on girl, you are an inspiration many need to hear, thanks for sharing!

Great Song | Reviewer: G | 2/20/09

and yet I fight, and yet I fight this battle all alone!

People say the singer died of an accidental overdose when most likely he wanted to over dose. His long term girlfriend contracted a rare heart bacteria that killed her. She was his everything and then she was gone. All alone not leaving the house much he put himself to rest from all of this sadness.

this song was me | Reviewer: Danielle Kuzma | 12/25/07

A meth junky, alone at the dope house injects another dose of poison and wonders how will she ever stop. How did she get here? Where is her husband? This is no home and yet i live here. Thank god i have a full pack of cigarettes and thank god pancho is here, if i want to go home then why dont I leave and i hope raymond comes home soon. I better go get a box of wine, I only got one shot of crap left. How does this guy know whats in my head, alice in chains, beautifull. Ill make it through today. One year later I write this, 2000 miles from that hell, pregnant, married, employeed and healing. Without great music I would have never made it. Thanks
