The first two choruses he sings "Way past the point of delight" and then in the last chorus sings "Way past the point of decline".
Get it? He's moving from delight to decline, just like the whole human race. Heavy, huh?
It's "Newsreel flashes" as well, not "Neutral Flashers"? WTF? It's a treatise on human history children, not a nursery rhyme.
Lane was a heavy hitter and deserves better.
