This role may be fits to Alice Cooper’s stage image – the bad guy who takes his punishment at the end. The song doesn’t tell the beginning of this love story – it shows just the end - a man with a broken heart. The hero is burning in passion for her, but his love seemed to be gone. The song says good-bye to love. Everybody who’s been in love, knows this feeling - the sweet pain and the pleasure to be completely absorbed in it. As a song lyric the “Poison” is one of the best – not too much words, but the exact ones! I’ve been listening to this song for the last 2 days – may be for 30 times. I am not 14 – even my daughter is much more. I am not drunk or smth. And certainly, I had listen to this song many times before - obviously not so carefully. But now this song is driving me crazy. I feel fresh blood “running through my veins”. I do not feel any chains to break down. I feel so enthusiastic listening to this great song! It has one of the best love lyrics I've ever read/heard. I really love the chorus of the song, it's so powerful like saying: "If we get together, this will be the end of me" such powerful love that will kill. I think today's singers should learn something from Alice before they try to give us their pseudo love songs. Alice Cooper RULES and that's IT! I really REALLY Love this song. And who doesn't like it - has never fallen in love :P (this is a joke, flamers and haters STFU!). And after all the song has 2 official covers! (Both by women singers) Do you know how many songs get official covers? Lemme tell ya! Only the really influential songs get to be covered (original still rules of course) P.s.
