Emo is short for Emotive Hardcore, which is a genre that has been dead and buried since the late 90's. Emo got skewered into being the lable for "emotional teenage angst music." Bands that created the Emo movement have since stated they want nothing to do with the term. Also. Just throwing in here. Alexisonfire is amazing. I think it has a great message that everyone can relate to in everyway.
