"sorry i didnt hear you, I was busy dying in the corner. Thhose three words destroyed every inch of me and you keep speaking." the fact that she once loved him but doenst anymore destroyed him, however she moved on. He thought he could keep going along with a long distance relationship (through phone/computer communication)long enough and things would work out fine. she had the coldest eyes but the softest touch sums up his final feelings for her. When Dallas is talking about her laughing I think that he is saying that the break up has really effected him but it doesnt seem to have phased the girl at all. When George says, "Daytime, twilight, pitch black night light" he is talking about how the cycle of relationships always repeats just like the cycle of a day. And maybe when he is talking about hiding behind a crystal screen and blowing kisses i think his girlfriend wouldnt really speak to him much in person and would only really talk through texts - exactly like my ex. And it could be based on high school relationships (like mine) seeing as the album has a lot to do with high school. The three words that destroyed every inch of Dallas could be, "This isn't working" which is how my relationship ended. But yeah thats what has happened to me so thats what the song is saying to me. So I can relate to it completely and it has helped me get through this bad break up of mine. I love Alexisonfire so much, they have really defined the post-hardcore genre with the contrast of George's unique screaming and Dallas' amazing voice. is it just me? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/3/07 is it just me or does every lyric site i look at have the same lyrics for this song. At the end of the song where it says "destroyed every inch of me and..." which is closely followed by the word "speaking", there sounds like he says more then just "and...speaking." To me, it sounds like "and YOU KEEP speaking." Correct me if im wrong, but it just would make more sense gramatically, and it sounds like that.
