hi ther am for Liberia am a survival in this world i have been to many countries and learn they culture and language but i never forget were am form and who i am, Am proud to be African and i love the song MAMA AFRICA i have listen to lots of Akon songs but i have two favorite mama Africa and journey i play it all the time at home becuz it touches my heart and soul, lots of people never been to Africa but talk like they been ther which i find rude to my African race y lie abut something u don't know abut akon u are my role model in life.i wish one day i could be able to sing abut Africa like u to show the world i like Africa i like singin and dancing cuz i learn it from Africa now i live in australia but i never stop talking abut africa to people even at school beaus its the best place to live LOVE TO MY AFRICA MOTHERLAND FOREVER

I absolutely love and adore this song! The first time I heard it I felt there was more to it. The second time, I REALLY listened to it and it brought tears to my eyes. I am originally from Cameroon but grew up in Germany and I feel homesick everytime I listen to this song. Have heard it 1000 times but it still makes me cry. Akon, I truly love and respect you for this track. Thank you so much. We should never forget where we come from. Thanks again!!

I'm not from Africa but this song makes me wish I was! It is really inspirational and brings out the good in Africa, rather than the bad. I do truly beleive that "mama Africa" has a lot of love share.

Never been in Africa but i wish i could visit sometime, i haven't african roots and got no negative ideas about africa. Sounds wonderful place and i'd like to go and be in some local town, not any tourist shit...

Akon is a wonderful artist with strong African roots which he will NEVER forget.....as is evident....he still visits Africa very often.
The song is spot-on!!! Seeing is believing...thats for those who have never visited Africa and still has some very NEGATIVE ideas about our motherland.
If you live in the West, you are forced to come face-to-face with a lot of prejudice and hatred towards Africa and Africans either on tv, radio or even in person...it can be real hard....BUT with all that we as Africans should continue to rise-up and be proud to be Africans and NEVER forget our roots.
Akon keep up the good work!! you are a revelation to the music industry. I hope other African artists will emulate you and promote Africa in real terms than pretend to be Europeans and Americans which they will never be in reality as they don't accept us deep down....so wise-up people.

Akon is spot on with this song....when i first heard it, it gave me shivers and I will repeat play it.
If you live in the West as an African it is always very hard with all the negative publicity by tv, radio and even personal. It is unbelievable that people will look at you once and intensely feel that you are inferior to them. If i want to go on and on about this issue, i'll end up writing a BOOK.
Anyhow, you can only find out the truth if you visit...and not listen to western propaganda to use and bring Africa and Africans down the drain!!!
