does it even matter if they sell out or not, mellow out and enjoy the song its a good song from a good band.
great song | Reviewer: fel | 10/11/07
I've been trying to get this song together so i could play it with my band, Damn the lyrics are hard to learn. I understand that they had a great text but it's hard to remember it all. Even the chorus is hard to remember. His voice tone is incredible, but impossible to imitate. I love this song really. I has a great message and is far better from the rest of the pop crap we hear these days. They are not sell outs! They are a great band that got lucky thats all. look around for the little bands. You never know! Maybe the little cover band from high school will become the next big thing.
Keep on rocking in a free world
selling out | Reviewer: trevor | 10/7/07
it's not necessarily the music that makes them sellouts, it's their politics. they were originally on plan-it-x, and were going to release another album through chris and after the arrangements had been made, they up and left to release one with no idea.after that album, the did the exact same thing to no idea and put one out on fat wreck chords.then they signed on with sire.so by systematically cutting their ties and ending up on a major label, yes, they sold out. anyone who reads the lyrics to reinventing axl rose knows they are not the same band anymore.
sellouts? please. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/5/07
for everyone who is talking about against me! selling out i suggest you take a listen to the second track on disco before the breakdown. these guys had a the hardest time leaving no idea records it's sick. to call them sellouts is fucking heartbreaking b/c you people obviously know nothing about the band. yeah they don't play church basements anymore but they still put every ounce of their heart, their soul, and their beliefs into their music. you people who are so quick to label everything selling out sicken me.

You bothered to look up the lyrics. You liked something about it. Energy was burned in relation to this song. So shut the fuck up, don't take yourself so seriously, and if you know so damn much about music, get off the fucking intarweb and see if you can do any bettah.
SUCKAAAAAZZZ :P

I know how it's "like way so totally cool" to like bands that people haven't heard of. and I'll admit, I do feel somewhat special when I know of a band that no one has heard of. but it doesn't mean that you can't be happy for the band for actually getting their music out. you're just mad because you couldn't do the same.. (maybe because you're lazy or your band sucks)
Have you ever went up to one of your friends and said "oh my god! you gotta hear this!"? Well just think of it as one big chain reaction. I'm sorry to say but with myspace being so big these days, Indie Rock is pretty much dead. (or at least the meaning of it) and it breaks my heart.. but I believe everyone has a chance to be the next big thing...at least you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that you were with them since the beginning.

Oh, please... To think a change in sound is "selling out"... Do you know anyone who makes music? I'm in a band, I know other people who make music as well, and none of us are well-known, but we've been doing it for years, and OUR SOUNDS HAVE CHANGED. Music comes from inside people, and people change on the inside. Use you brains.
And kudos to "IndiePunk Tool", lol.
lol | Reviewer: Cody | 9/26/07
the whole point of playing music is to create your own sound and share it with people yet if they become popular they become "sell outs" that always makes me laugh.
the songs' good, why does the rest matter? | Reviewer: trish | 9/25/07
who cares.... the song is great! thats all that matters, really. and the band is getting really successful, you shouldnt hate them for that. it doesnt mean they lost touch of what they believe in. oh, and by the way, no one cares how 'hardcore' you are. eventually the music you like will get heard by people who aren't 'hardcore', and you can't hate them for it. try looking on the upside of things, its a lot less effort then being an asshole.
they didnt sell out lol | Reviewer: honchoman | 9/22/07
against me never sold out lol. every band has at least one or 2 songs on the radio. sink!florida!sink! was on the radio a bunch of times, and they had a video for (dont lose touch) that made MTV.
and who cares if they have crap on the radio. they never really changed their attitude. just new songs take some time to get used to. it happens. give it a little time.
