I am a Christian and its interesting if you look at some of the lyrics to this song you could get the inclination it's about hell. And to humble saint if AC/DC were satanists why would they deny it? The best thing for you to do is ignore it because the more fundamentalist Christians talk about these bands the more famous they get. It's not your job to judge them, not mine it's God's. Every band does this they write a song about going to a local bar or something and add a few lyrics to make people think it's satanic. It's textbook. Most bands don't take it seriously outside of black metal I don't even think cannibal corpse takes seriously what they write in their songs. and to the person below me yes U2 ok they aren't as spiritual as they were back in the 80's but they haven't been destroyed by their fame I mean Miley Cyrus has been destroyed by her fame and Britny Spears. I think humble saint could be just joking because ok most enemies of rock are at least in their 40's. If AC/DC were satanists don't you think they would be preaching their satanism it's not like they attended any satanic churches, satanic rituals, also AC/DC are very humble people. Most people who knew Bon Scott describe him as a very nice, charismatic man, not an anti-christ rebel. Also AC/DC haven't worn any satanic symbols and don't say BS wore one on the cover of hth because a pentagram only resembles satanism when it has a ring around it and a goats head inside it. Also why are you on here humble saint? Not telling you to get off just asking why. Demon possessed people don't say they feel demon possessed ok I heard that this demon possessed kid threw a refrigerator across a room and do you see AC/DC going out sacrificing goats? No. They don't do drugs, they're humble, and they give to charity. There you have it.

It is a good and catchy song only. | Reviewer: peachstatejon | 10/22/09

I think that it is stupid that people attack this song because they think it is satanic in nature. Some songs are meant to be serious. This one was meant to be catchy so people can rock out to it. I am a Christian and I think it is really unfortunate that some of my fellow Christians are so closed minded. I recently went to a U2 concert at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, where there were Christian protestors saying that Bono was either the devil or the anti-christ. I really resent Christian involvement in trying to enforce censorship of rock music in the 1980's and even their attempts at more recent censorship. Censorship is wrong! I can't change the fact that some of the Christian community is close-minded and the opinions of non-believers are to be respected.

Its interesting to hear some of these bands try to give an excuse to cover up there satanism. If they were just talking about going to a local bar then why would thy have said "hey satan paid my dues playin in a rockin band." Then again In Hell's bells they say "im gonna getcha, Satan getcha. And their guitar player Angus Young admited in an interview to feeling possesed after part ways through the first song. Have you ever wonderd why the lead singers of bands or band members who had the most influence in the band died young death or through drugs or suicide or something else. Elvis, John lennon, Kirk Cobain, Michael Jackson. These people supposibly had the world by their tail they could buy almost anything they wanted. why would they commit suicide or overdose on drugs or whatever else they died of. Just goes to show that there is no reward for serving satan he is the master deciever. Jesus is the Only one who gives hope for the future who cares about this cruel world ruled by the devil. In a million years from now this life will be just a faided memory or eternal regret for those who reject Christ. I too was into this garbage but think God He pulled me out and He can you too!

Okay, the guy whose name is daddy, you don't know anything about this song and I'm pretty sure you don't know much about the band either. Don't come here and hate probably the biggest rock band ever, that's like going on to a plane and saying "shit the timers gone off, but nothing's happening!" For christ sake man, go home and listen to your jobros and leave us in peace.

Side Note: Bon Scott will always be missed, I loved him and all of the songs he's in, though it's a pity he died, but he will live on forever in AC/DC's name and legacy.

I'm sorry, but the guy who calls himself "daddy" is a complete idiot. It has nothing to do with Satan or anything like that. If you took the time to actually read about the song you would know that. Why don't you go back to your cousin/wife and leave the real thinking to everyone else.

This song was originally made when AC/DC (bon scott) was going to a pub and he had to cross a highway, coincendally route 666, its in chicago or somthing, but its closed, due to religious people, and an another highway was taken in its place, its the same highway but different name

Amazing song and simple riff | Reviewer: VanBarbee | 3/29/08

Gotta love the 70s. One of the finest examples of a pure rock song, Highway to Hell is a pristine example of Hard Rock at it's finest. Also let me add, Highway to Hell is not about Satanism, incase that would ever cross your mind. Bon Scott, lead singer for ACDC at the time, had written this song apparently about going down to the local pub with his buddies, and in order to get there, he had to descend a trecherous hill which ended in a crossing that saw some of the worst accidents of the region. Therefore, it became a Highway to Hell, and if you read the lyrics, it becomes apparent that it is indeed just a lil' trip to the bar.
