I don't know, I always saw it as a metaphor, but I'm not so sure. It could just be that he is speaking directly about Jesus/christianity/organized religion as a whole and how many people have died in the name of someone else's beliefs. but then again, that whole paragraph in and of itself sounds like a metaphor for the bush administration. :)~ About the song The Noose performed by A Perfect Circle | Reviewer: Heather | 4/29/07 I listened to this song a bunch of times, and Im pretty sure it is about addiction. The person finally came clean, she worked hard to acquire this halo, and now she's confident, and sitting on a cloud. The people around her are glad to see this improvement, and she's starting to get a little cocky, thinking she's stronger than them all for everything she's been through. However, she hurt so many people on her road down into addiction, and screwed up so many peoples' lives (essentially killing them), that now she's got to figure out how to make "amends to the dead". She'd like to pretend that all her memories are just someone else's "atrocious stories", but the narrator brings her back to reality. Maynard is singing about why God took and what she ever did to deserve any of that. 3 Libras - 9 of Keenan's buddies were Libras, he picked three of them to talk about and he made them guess which three they were. No matter how much you dislike the Bush administration you liberal fuck, everything does not translate into being about Bush, dumbass.
