if you like apc, check out karnivool | Reviewer: martin barnard | 6/12/2007this song is one of the most powerful protest songs of our time. apc are protesting the ignorance imposed and encouraged by the american government and media. the subject of this song seems to be accusing not only the the gov and media but also the people who allow themselves to become ignorant and easily manipulated. i disbeleive that this is a fair interpretation of american society because it is not the fault of the people but the choice of a government to manipulate its people. however im still in love with this song and its message. i hope that it serves as a beackon to all that truly listen to what it has to say. this song is a symbol of the last scraping hope of free will and the power of a people when they truly beleive in something that is right. please, when listening to this song remember how it felt and use those emotions to fight agaist the incroaching tide of manipulated mediocrity.
thankyou.
p.s id love to hear your opinion on what ive said and on the works of apc so email me at boristhepotato@hotmail.com
socity is the boogyman | Reviewer: T.J.D | 6/3/2007
Maybe it is simpler than others think
The fact is that the world is indecisive, evil, painful, is full of hatred, murder and rape the world is careless...a constant war
And as children we are openly introduced into this world...
if hidden away /protected from it, and its boogymen in which are the careless society that will only corrupt, kill, unethically persecute; even innocent children only for their beneficially rise in societies notoriety,
we can save ourselves the pain, the suffering of what is truth and the transformation inot the innermonster that humans are, save ourselves from mutating into our own boogymen
Althought this will never happen.
everyone needs a protector, someone who can save us from ourselves... and most epoel wil never even meet someone who will

although the truth is this will never happen... mother, fathers, siblings,.... can only protect us from this world for so long.
some of us dont even have a protector..someone who can save us

Weak & Powerless | Reviewer: Mekka | 6/1/2007
Yeah it's a political song. To fully understand this I suggest you go to youtube or even better!! Go out and buy APC's DVD. The flim clip for the re-mixed verison of this(Count the Bodies Like Sheep) gives you the full idea behind the meaning of this song. It's a real head trip to think about it. Meynard is ingeneous.
I'm pretty sure about this | Reviewer: Chris | 5/29/2007
Great song... I'm pretty sure it's about religion. It's as if the religion is talking to the person.
My best guess at a meaning... | Reviewer: Sam | 5/18/2007
It seems to me, and I could be completely off on this, that the song is written from the point of view of someone in the current Presidential administration. With their constant offering of fear without proof, this seems like a commentary on the politics of fear.
"Stay with me
Safe and ignorant
Just stay with me
I'll hold you and protect you from the other ones,
The evil ones, don't love you son,
Go back to sleep"
Lulling us to sleep with stories of how awful it is on the other side of the fence... don't know, just my theory.
What exactly? | Reviewer: Ry | 5/14/2007
This song is beautiful. i have theories on what the sons means, but i don't have an exact interpretation, and maybe thats the point. It may be intentionally contradictive so the song is left as somewhat as a cliffhanger. Any ideas?
Rock on.... | Reviewer: Viv | 4/21/2007
