Amazing's an understatement | Reviewer: Sita | 4/18/2007
You know, even before I heard this song, I always wondered why people preach. To me, the song is saying that if we weren't so big headed about our country, as though we are some master race, or if we didnt think we were right about something we'll never be able to know for sure until we're dead (heaven and hell) would there be war? Would people fight against others and die for the fake ideals of our leaders.
If there is a heaven, those who think they are right may be committing a sin for arrogance.
Not bad for a cover | Reviewer: Paty | 3/25/2007
I am skeptical of covers, lyrics are art, and only the person that writes them really gets the true tone of the song, all in all not a bad cover, I don't know what the person above that says Lennon sang this song " Happy" is talking about, obviously he doesn't know Lennon well though. * also buddy it's sang not sung*
back to the song it's good for a cover, but it's still is paled by the original
The song is dark and a warning | Reviewer: Tony | 3/26/2007
This song exposes the true nature and reality of Satan in the world. All the preachers and poloticians use to cry that rock music was decieving, demoralizing, anti autority and anti christian though backmasking in it's lyrics. But now bands do not hide there agenda's, they just come out and say it. Bands like Marlyn Manson who not only claims to be a priest in the church of Satan but claims to be possesed by a devil. Nine Inch Nails just the name refers to the size of the nails used to nail Jesus Christ to the cross. NIN in its song heresy it lyrics goes "god is dead and no one cares and if there is a HELL I'll see you there. Here in this song that A Perfect Cirlc did by John Lennon the song covers all the bases, communism, athesism, and one world government. No possesions that's communism, no religion that is athesism and no countries that is a one world government view. All of which will take place in the world in the end times that the bible talkes about in the book of Revelation.
The one world leader that will emerge will be the Antichrist. No one will be able to by or sell anything in the whole world with out his mark 666. Every one will have to worship the Antichrist in the end times or die.
Unfortunately for John Lennon there is a Heaven and a Hell and any one that denies that Jesus Christ is God. Anyone that denies the gospel, the death, burial and resurection of Jesus Christ will spend eternity that means forever in Hell! There was a time in every one's life when they did not exist but there will never ever be a time when they do not exist!
pure brilliance | Reviewer: ash | 5/14/2006
If you doubt this song for how good it is, just watch the film clip. This song is perfect.
PERFECT | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/19/2006
this track is just PERFECT..there is a deaper meaning to all what is being said which i thing the Lennon version didn't convey..maybe it has to do with Maynard's magical voice along with the darker tune..it really touched me
Change isn't bad... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/19/2005
The first time I heard this, I felt as if they had ruined a great song. Lennon was a musical genious, and this was one of the greatest songs to ever be written, but after hearing this version a few times I can't help but admit that Lennon sung it wrong. This is not a happy song, it's not supposed to be. Lennon sung the song as if it was happy, and he did a great job in my opinion, but A Perfect Circle added a very dark side to the song and the drumline was amazing and perfectly needed. I don't like to say this, but Lennon sung this wrong.
wow! | Reviewer: Soran | 8/19/2005
