I can't believe that only a year ago I only knew miss murder and love like winter. Jade does an amazing job with the lyrics and Davey posseses the power to bring them to life in a way that makes me want to cry. I love how in this song there Are parts that have so much buildup only to amount to something soft. And how something soft will abruptly go into something loud and hard. I already left a comment saying that I love this song. But I'll say it again: It's an amazingly beautiful song. It's just....wow. Jade is amazing with the lyrics although I'm sure davey helps cuz i've seen interviews of jade where he's just like "I was down in the basement whith the singer of my band writing some music" but if you look it up you will find that jade is the main lyricist. AFI's lyrics both inspire and amaze me on such levels I can't understand it, combining amazing abilities to express, and an amazing sound that makes me understand the emotion as if I was feeling it myself. Honestly, I don't think I know a better band that exists, all the band members have vast amounts of talent, especially Davey and Jade. No doubt, they are the embodiment of real music. Their music covers all my tastes, from their loud, fast-paced sound from their first albums to their current sound. Heck, they even turned me on to electronica with Blaqk Audio. The style matches perfectly into the first part of ...but home is nowhere. Davey once again brings his brilliance in writing in such away that the lyrical meaning of the song can be pieced into each life of who ever listens to it. Hunter, Adam, and Jade are wonderful with the percussion, melody, and harmony to be the aiding backbone of Davey's intimately heavy lyrics.
