recovering since 10/06 | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/4/2008Definitely heroin speaking here to the addicted addict. So sad that this song is so deep and so true. So much pain in an addicts story. Hope it doesnt seduce any of us back into our addiction because we are never truly drug proof only drug free JUST FOR TODAY.
take it from a nine year heroin junky | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/29/2007
im a recovering heroin addict. it is straight up heroin talking to the junky. tie your arm up put that lighter under the spoon now put that needle to your arm princess stick it in relapse you'll be back bitch dont ever try that agian. if you've never had a needle in your arm take it from me, the needle and the shit say those exact words. i dont know if 50 cent knows for himself or he bought these words but i've heard this song every day for the last 9 years.

Wow ...this song is infact a love song...itz about the love of an addict and his or her drug. The thing is, that thelyrics are written so well that it cud be mistaken for a simple love love {best line = "promise that u'll cum and see me...even if it meanz u gotta sale yo mama t.v"}...itz great...find it...listen to it
DEEP | Reviewer: Sheena | 4/18/2006
This song is very deep! "Monkey on the back" is great. Dark and emotional!!
its about | Reviewer: madmumm | 1/20/2006
the track's NOT a love song. It's about heroin addiction, from the heroins perspective! (like, moaning when she tries to get off it; encouraging her to inject to get her back on again etc! The 'monkey on the back' is an expression meaning you're addicted to the shit. It is a) yet another excellent 50 track in general, but b) lyrically, very cleverly done and spot on! :D
