This has to be my favorite 38 Special song. The mood and vocals of this song are captivating. The lead singer reminds me a bit of Steve Perry. The lyrics are compelling. It's ironic really...I don't sympathize with the fellow singing this song, since he betrayed his woman in the worst way. His pleas don't even sound particularly penitent. His pitiful, "Please forgive memand forget it" is typical of a man who has been weathering under the unyielding contempt of his ex without understanding how deeply he has indeed hurt her.

But...a great song indeed. I sing it loud when it comes on the radio--even though I can't really relate to it. But, if I ever were unfaithful to my wife, I would use this song to try and woo her back. Maybe.

This is one of the best songs 38 special put out. Would love to have it on mpre CD's. 38 rocks and will see them at the Date Festifal this weekend.
