I really love this song because I never get tired of it and when I'm feeling sad or mad it's a good song for me to listen to because all of my stress and anger comes out through the song. it relates to me in someways and its one of my favorite songs!

The music video for this song totally threw me, until I saw a movie that was completely like it. The Shining a Steven King novel was a book transformed into a movie, and the movie depicted everything in the music video of this song.. The meaning is finding yourself for better or worse.. The movie was scaryyy and the music video was strange until I found that fact out! Ha

When I first heard this song, I witnessed the music vidio. I fell straight in love with it. I see in the past all the stupid crap and the idiot I was and I saw that I can overcome what my life was and how I grew up. I overcame the obstacle and I saw who I really am. I love this song and NEVER get tired of hearing it. I love 30STM and The Kill is set as my alarm on my phone for my alarm clock :)

Here's the beauty of music: every single person can interpret a song a different way based on their own life and experiences. There is no right or wrong when it comes to your own personal feelings. Technically though, this song is about one specific point: you can't change who you are. You can try but in the end you must accept who you are otherwise you'll be perpetually fighting yourself. Whether it's you not liking yourself or someone else not liking the way you are, you will never be able to change the real you. You have to accept who you are and make the best of your life. When you're on your death bed and you look back on your life, do you want to be wishing that you spent more time having fun and less time worrying about who you were satisfying? No, nobody does. So worry more about staying true to yourself and making yourself happy and less about what people think about you. After all, you're living YOUR life not someone else's, so why would you care what someone else thinks?

I love the song i relate to its so much!! i never get tired of hearing it!! the meaning behide it i tried to be somone i wasn't and all you want to do is be yourself and this song brings out the real me so much i love it

When I heard the first time of the band, i was walkin on melrose, seeing all the 30STM logos nd wonderin what they mean..
My friend told me that they´re a band nd I was like: ah well ok.. whatever..
But when I came to their "signing session" on melrose again, I was impressed how famous they actually are.. And they gave a mini concert.. And that´s the moment when I first fell in love with the song.. Jared sang it so beautiful, I was so touched nd I couldn´t believe that sth can be so amazing.. I love it!
And I talk to the three of them.. nd they´re sooo nice! =) especially tomo nd shannon! :*

The song is about finding out who you really are. not about being in a relationship.
But to me its about being in a relationship with yourself. I can relate to this, as i ran from myself and tried to be someone else but i really wasnt them and i found myself eventually and now i regret everything i said, i did, and was.

The Kill is an amazing song and the lyrics really come through as a message to everyone including Jared, Tomo and everyone else in the band :)

this is probably my fav song from 30 seconds to mars.

yeah i can relate aswell because there was this one guy who i REALLY liked exept once he found out he kept saying to me "why do you like me, I like someone else for god's sake" and he also kept calling me a loser and a freak etc. so this song felt for me as though i was getting back at him.

but seriously, he's the loser haha.

i love this song! it means so much to me because it reminds me of a girl who i like. Its too fucking bad shes going out with somebody. thats why these lyrics have meaning for me. I started to become a little emo after that.

I think this song is about trying to be someone else becuase people wanted you to be a certain way:

30 Seconds to Mars is my favorite band. The Kill is my favorite song by them. I first heard it when I was in Florida with my cousin. She showed me the music video of The Kill, and that's when I knew that I was in love.

the first time i heard this song was when i was with a guy i fell in love with.. since then im addicted to it, i totally relate... . I listen to the lyrics and wat they mean and this song has good meaning.. LOVE IT :) :)

The 1st time I heard this song I was with my boy friend. I actually thought that he was saying marry me when he was singing, come to find out I heard wrong he was dsaying burry me. The song is still so awsome. I agree with everyone, I soo wouldn't get tired of repeating it. This song has a great and powerful meaning to it. I enjoy the song. Thanxz 30 sec to mars!
