Whether a crazed fan girl or not, it's about the enjoyment and the effect that the music, or whatever, has on each individual. So I kind of have a problem with people who have problems with "fans girls" because who are you to judge what another person likes, it's completely up to them. Oh God, seriously. I didn't know Jared Leto was an actor before it was brought to my attention two seconds ago reading the reviews. (Forgive me, I'm a Shadow Soldier-Ot3p is one of the few bands I truly devote myself to.) However, I did know he was a vegetarian, and I find vegetarians not always emaciated. I don't think that he's an asshat, or a little bitch, as I've heard him be called. Obviously others do... And, yes, this is sadder, I... *deep breath* don't find Jared that hot. That right belongs to Adam motherfucking Gontier. (Before anyone calls me a fangirl, let me note: I was listening to Three Days' Grace's music long before I actually saw a picture or music video of Adam or the rest of the band. I actually started to listen to 30STM before I even knew Jared had been an actor. Then when my brother bought American Psycho I was watching it with him, and when Paul Allan came on I was like "...Is it me or does he look like REALLLYYY familar...SHITEE!!!! IT'S JAREDDDD!!! NO WAY!!" And my brother was like, "No shit, retard, I thought you knew he was an actor before a singer." So I loved his voice before his pretty face ^____^ ;P reply to "pay attention to the music" | Reviewer: nyx | 12/21/08 dear anonymous. i started listening to 30 Seconds to Mars when i was thirteen in 2005. now...i'd never seen a Jared Leto film at all, and i was intrigued by hearing one of their songs on a rock channel on the radio. we're not all a bunch of mofo's with terrible music taste, and lack of vision. in fact, it wasn't until after i bought both their self-titled and A Beautiful Lie that i started watching Jared's films. i don't think he is an ass, or a jerk, just because he really isn't afraid to address things that bug him. i'm now seventeen, and still am a huge fan of 30 Seconds To Mars, and i am in the Echelon and Mars Army. rock is as much a statement as it is a breed of people who have more to say than others. i'd think twice before you go around making these stereotypical claims. btw. i'm very much an actress and i play bass guitar. he isn't the only one. The problem is that you get all these fuckasses who know nothing about music badmouthing them because their singer is an actor, so he apparently can't also be a good musician.. and at the same time you get all the little fangirls who like them solely because Leto's pretty and they saw him in a movie and started buying posters of him showing off his emaciated little vegetarian body and don't really care or know enough about music to realize what a great band they are ruining for others who see the fans and automatically see 30STM the same way they see Fall Out Boy and all the other worthless "rock" bands that have legions of screaming adolescent girls as fans. Pay attention to the music, people, not his pretty looks, or the fact that he's been in a few movies. I can relate to that, and it makes it so endearingly personal that I love the song even more. This and R-Evolve are my favorite songs on the Beautiful Lie CD. p.s. True Story: my sister (who never even heard of 30 sec.) went to a concert of thiers with a friend who had tickets. She saw them coming off stage and Jared Leto agreed to take a picture with her.
