He's known, but he's known for a crime, or something bad.) Through the blood he can look, and see the life that he took. (Basically, he killed someone. Kinda stands out there.) I have first listened to this today and i have came to the conclushion that it is a good song. I have seen the video you have put on 'yootube' and it is i think very deep and influentionel. In Japan where i live there is alot of torture and traeting others with less respect i..e like your midle class lower class and 1st clas. I think what this song and the video is say is that the mans face is a map of the world of the people he has tortured (because he may be a master of a mansion with slaves) An he looks back on the people he has traeted with ill respect. The opening line points out the main fact, he's a stranger to some and a vision to none. Not everyone believes in him but those who do don't really "know" him. He'd quit for a fortune but i don't believe it's really money he wants for the fortune. and of course on his face would be a map of the world. but the from yesterday, the fear/it's coming/he doesn't want to read the message yet is about (to me anyway) all the killing and fighting that's going on in the world. He doesn't want to end the world because he thinks there's still some good that can emerge. This is also where the next chorus comes in. He sits on sins not gold. he created man and men are creating all these sins which are blamed on him cause he created the people making them. Well, my interpretation is that it is about a guy who killed someone, or some people, purposely, though the past is starting to come back and bite him in the ass because he feels guilty about all the lives he took (that would be the "From Yesterday" part). I dont know, maybe it was like his job to kill them, but he didnt like it or something. I'm not sure. And then the whole, "On his face is a map of the world," line is like a metaphor for having seen so much [like the death of many people], or it could mean that if you look at his face, you can actually see the pain inflicted by his guilt - either physically or emotionally. And finally, the, "He doesn't want to read the message yet/here," part might be saying that he doesn't want to admit that he did the bad things he did - at least, not yet - because once he exposes himself to the guilt of his crimes, it could really tear him up from the inside (again, metaphorically).
