The Reviews about Amerika (English Version) (page 12/ 15)

Globalization != USA | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/11/07

People have to be upset at something, it is in our very nature. It is my belief that most of the discussions involving the US taking over the world is a confusion between globalization and the loosing of ones own culture. Individuals become glued to the benefits of the globalized markets, products, and culture but then are shocked and upset when they see the negative impact of loosing some of their local identity. This loss of identity causes hatred to build, the hatred needs an outlet and their is only a few places one can direct it. The US is perfect because its big, it has a face, and has few defenders.

In these types of threads it is very common to see "Americanization" as if it is somehow forced on everyone. The fact is, Iraq aside, no one waltzed into Europe and said "buy our products or we'll kill you."

The US has the same issue right now with China: the US wants to blame China for US government failings and protections (FDA)... China must be evil because they sell products real cheap, nevermind US citizens have every ability to decide not to buy them.

While some Europeans may be resisting the urge to buy US products, use US services, watch US movies, listen to US music -- most in fact are not.

The world will continue to head towards a single more unified (boring?) culture. In the US, as different cultures moved in and started affect existing US cultures, little rebellions sprung up. Most US citizens realize that the benefits of cross-culture outweigh the loss of some personal cultures and beliefs. Organizations who fought against the inevitable, such as the KKK and even the Black Panthers, found their purpose increasingly difficult as the general populace started appreciating and embracing each other instead of trying to defend legacies.

While I'm not suggesting that Europeans attempting to hold on to their culture are the same as race-divided groups, I am offering that Europeans are fighting the inevitable and that while the majority of Europeans may SAY they want to keep their culture, their actions dictate another.

Once globalization has occurred, and a more unified and boring culture is abound, we will simply invent a new one. As we head to Mars, the Martian culture will be the "IN" thing and the "New Frontier" and we will all be clawing at the chance to get the latest Martian Fad, while simultaneously saying that Mars is ruining Earth.

I love Amerika | Reviewer: The Hater | 7/3/07

Clearly, The US should have backed Germany in 1941 rather than the Limeys. Provos foreva MFs!

Well.. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/30/07

It's funny how so many Europeans/foreigns are enraged with U.S. citizens and this country. Most of this is over history as Fernando had said but if we're talking about blaming people for their history let's talk Germany.. 2 world wars because of them? A whole massacre of a race? No that's not bad, right? Bull. Another thing, the reason those people are eating hamburgers is because their government let that business in. You people are ignorant, blame your government for the McDonalds around the corner not ours. If they are in your government just wants profit and doesn't care about the people, just like the U.S. government. And in case you haven't noticed Bush has the lowest approval rating of any president meaning what... Oh! We hate him! Not everyone here is a conservative prick, unlike Europe apparently. So many stereotypes about the U.S. there and let's look at Britain's history. What of the globalization of Britain's empire? In fact, World Corporatism. Do you know anything of the Opium Wars? China wouldn't give them trade rights so Britain flooded China's ports with Opium causing a massive drug line of gangsters and induced citizens, then when China went to war over it they decimated them and took over areas of China later leading to slave labor in those cities. LOL. Sounds bad, no? So how about we all look at our own government's past before we start yelling at another's. BTW: I could go on here about every European country/Foreign country and their evil history but I don't have the time. Neither should you. Reflect, or you're just as ignorant as the "Americans" are.

Opinion | Reviewer: Nathan/88 | 6/14/07

The song was catchy. I don't know what the point is in trying to make a large discussion out of this, as some of the people here have done. There is not a whole lot to discuss, lest you have a crazy radical(Jose FS) who has to put his two-bits in. The song speaks fact, America is the power house and even if most of the world teamed up on them(Unimaginable) it still wouldn't matter, as they say Mutally Assured Destruction. Now I don't really know how else to say it and not sound like an ass, so I am sorry if it does in fact sound that way no offense. I slid off my point a bit but again there isn't a whole lot to say, everyone should be in agreeance that america is the super power and does hold sway in others actions, for good the good or the bad. Though as Joe said about the media, it rather tied into what Fernando said about the Iraq war, and I do believe alot of the "bad" stuff comes from the control of the media. Media is an awesome power ecspecially if you control the world's biggest super power's Media and use it for your own means. I do believe you could, off of a topic like media control and war/blah blah, start a rather good debate.

And some of the more knowledgeable people if you do so choose to do a debate with me please don't bring up the name thing. It's there and saying it again won't much matter, nor will it change my opinion or your own on the matters of discussion.

Good day,

Let's talk about 9/11 | Reviewer: Henry Kissinger | 6/14/07

Why censor the reviews? 9/11 was a very sophisticated inside job involving foreknowledge, financial exploitation of airline stocks, blowing up buildings, stand down orders for the military, and denial of health care for the clean up persons. for anyone to join the Occupation of Iraq and call it patriotism is just a very sorry situation.

The first thing Rammstein is doing in this video is showing that Apollo moon landing was a fraud. There is much to support this, including fraud photographs which is why the Rammstein video has the little + crosshair etched into the camera lense. Like the giveway Building 7 for 9/11, the give away for moon fraud is that the Van Allen radiation belts will cook any human leaving the earth's orbit. In the video, the star Trek pinball machine show the general mentality of the troops, the patriots, the brain washed nationalists. henry Kissinger was the director of the 9/11 commission with their bogus report until the widows asked him who he worked for and then he immediately quit. That should tell you a lot. Fraud + leaving his post. Currently USA is run by NWO shadow goverment. Speak truth to power and you get hurt, just like Rammstain says in the English rendition of the song.

Not a bad song. | Reviewer: Larry | 6/6/07

Well I like it. Been singing the german lyrics all day long. Just had to understand what they were saying. Still like the song.

It's a new spin on an old argument. Before us it was Britan. Before Britan it was France. Before France it was Spain and so on and so forth. It's inevitable. There is always going to be one culture that completely dominates the others and changes the way people live. People tend to resent that.

The thing that makes this special is it's the first time in written history that one country has made such and impact on the ENTIRE world. Or maybe the second. Remember that the sun never set in the British empire at one time?

This is our time in the sun. Eventually that sun will set. In either case its been one hell of a ride.

Think About It | Reviewer: Will | 5/28/07

I am an American, who thinks this song is teaching a powerful message. Yes, the "American" culture has spanded all over the world, but since "American" culture is a blend of so many differant cultures, that's why it is adapted so easily. I am not saying the "American" cultures way is the right way, but I am saying that we have many aspects taken from many cultures, and when other cultures expirence "American" culture, they are able to identify with parts of it. I love learning about differant cultures and I think some of them have great ways of living. But I also love my culture for it incorporates so many differant culture teachings. Yes, America and americans, can be extemely rude, arrogant, and ignorant to the other world cultures. But most americans are willing to at least listen to the "idea's and traditions" of the other cultures, even though we don't practice them. Even if it doesn't seem like that we are paying attention we are. Those who are closed-minded to the teachings of other cultures must be tolerated, since all countries have those types of people. But still the song is cool.

look im only 15 but i know when bull crap is said
of course the world is being americanized its just the fact that people are letting it happen fine even if Rammstein was tryin to be cruel to america (which i doubt highly) its only because we deserved it its our fault if everyone hates us and the video does pretty much say that fact

Very interesting.. | Reviewer: Burbank | 5/16/07

Sometimes you just have to chuckle at the visual text and believe an industrial film director can hit the nail right on the head portraying both irony and humour. Great video, great song, great CD, great band, etc... Burbank (www.Wagonburner.com)
