I thought at first it had to do with a couple fighting and one having an affair but a lot of these make sense. Is there anyway to find out what their saying underneath the song. I've listened to it over and over again and know he screams "come on!" but that's all I can really decipher.

i think she was cheating on him. the moment i said it has to do with her saying something that started the relationship with another man. The army and bulldozng the life out her means that she told him and is preparing for him to get mad at her. She says she knosw that hes thinking she doesnt love him anymore. This is restated by the fact that "I've got it bad for you" she then is talking about how he's ferious so he's going to get in to an accident bcause he is not foccussed. i suspect he's calling someone to go to there house since hedoesnt want to be near her. She is saying here that she nows hes just really angry at her but they can work it out hn he's clmer.He is suddenly somewhereto be sayingtha he wants to leave.He is scaring her suggesting that he maybe abusive that lso is supported by the fact that she is singing smash. I think she is sayig not another one cuz she either ben abused or heart broken like this previously.You start to hear them fightng in the background showng that he is leaving and fighting with her.she losing him meaning that he
never wats to see her agian and thathe maybeaout to get into an accident shes ot a bad feelng hes gong to get hurt or affected badly by this and she doesnt want him to throw away his an/or his relationship with out thinking it through. You then hear hospital noises suggestng that either he got in a car crash or she ot seriouslyinjre fro the abuse.If u think it is from the abuse bye means that she got injured and mayeven be dieing frm it.If u thik its a car crash(which makes more sense to me) then he is dying and she is saying bye and it gets silent that means that it was a foolish mistake and shemay feel asif it is her fault and she is feeling guilty and maybe even suicidel for accientally killing her love.

So Ive read what everyones written and I think parts of each interpretaion of this song fits with what it's actually trying to say to the listener. But my thoughts about this song are that maybe he's been going through a rough time lately, family issues, drug usage, or just pressure people might have been putting on him. Since he's been going through this he hasn't communicated it to her the right way. Maybe ignoring her or just not being around and staying isolated to himself and not letting her help him. But the one time maybe she confronts him about all this issues he gets angry more angry than he's ever been or shes ever seen. (conveying the usage of drugs, alchohol, or depressants of some sort.)The girl tries to get him to talk to her and sit down and stay with her so they can work things out or she can atleast be there for him during this rough time. Instead something she says sparks that anger more. Now the "who are you calling at this hour?" part actually confused me a little. because with each story it was the odd line that didn't quite fit. But i think maybe he called up a drug dealer, alchohol distributer of some sort, or maybe some of his friends and told them hed be on his way. Insisting why he wanted to take the car and leave and why he didn't want to stay and talka bout any of this. He'd rather be out there drinking away his problem or smoking his drugging his problems out of his mind instead of fixing them. After she pleads to him to stay he eventually takes the car and leaves her there, hoping that he would be okay. Instead i think whatever he had doses of or been drinking got to him and it ended up ina huge accident.. indicating the (smash) And she says oh..please..not another one..which shows maybe shes lost someone close to her before because of these addictions and that maybe he died becase of this.At the end i suppose theyre in a hospital? I think that because at the end it says "Bye" over and over again..maybe because it was the last thing the man heard of her voice as he faded away to death and its just ringing in his head over and over until there is no more. As the song gets slower and ends..



But i guess that's just my interpretation.
It might not make all that much sense. But hey that's just what i get out of it :]

I think its about two lovers and other people don't like it that they are in love, but the man wants to get in his car and they would run away together but the woman thinks that they can try to stay and convince people around them that their love is right and pure and beautiful.

I think it's simply about losing love.
She tells him to stop whatever he's doing (drinking, violence etc..) he cant take the confrontation and tries to leave but she knows if he goes now then he's gone for good and her love for him begs for rationality.

I think she is finally confronting someone about a drug/alcohol problem either abuse or because they are selling drugs, she tells them they are throwing everything away (revealed in last line).

When she tells the person, they ignore her and do not want to hear it. They try to leave with the car. She says they aren't thinking straight and someone will get hurt if they drive, implying under the influence of drugs/alcohol.
She asks "who are you calling at this hour?" I think it could mean drug dealer and/or partying friends or someone who wants to buy drugs.

The person wants to leave so badly they get violent and throw plates or something similar you'd have multiple of at home before leaving.

She worries what he is doing is a bad idea and she cares for him so wants him to stop.

first impression i had was that she told him she wanted to break up, or end whatever....and he is freaking out about it. it's not as complex as the whole drinking and driving and alcoholism ideas, but i just have that feeling. it remined me of when you break up with someone and you cant believe the words came out of your mouth ... or how you have to reason with them ... ie:

"I know what you're thinking,
But darling you're not thinking straight
Sadly things just happen we can't explain."

then she continues to tell him to sleep it off, as if everything will settle down because he clearly isn't handling it well (smash).

hm. just a thoughttttt? who knows!

I think she just told him that she's pregnant and he can't handle it. "now, sleep i promise it'll all seem better somehow."

"sadly things happen we just can't explain" obviously they aren't prepared for this. But she knows that he's just being impetuous in the moment, so she's trying to calm him down.
