You never give me your money
You only give me your funny paper
and in the middle of negotiations
you break down
I never give you my number
I only give you my situation
and in the middle of investigation
I break down
Out of college, money spent
See no future, pay no rent
All the money's gone, nowhere to go
Any jobber got the sack
Monday morning, turning back
Yellow lorry slow, nowhere to go
But oh, that magic feeling, nowhere to go
Oh, that magic feeling
Nowhere to go
Nowhere to go
One sweet dream
Pick up the bags and get in the limousine
Soon we'll be away from here
Step on the gas and wipe that tear away
One sweet dream came true... today
Came true... today
Came true... today...yes it did
One two three four five six seven,
All good children go to Heaven

Review about You Never Give Me Your Money Absolute, undeniable genius | Reviewer: J.L. | 10/21/09
Think of another band that can take three distinctive styles and turn them into a beautiful cohesive song. The first verse as a ballad, the second as jazz and a rockin' final verse. This makes an amazing bridge to the rest of the Abbey Road conceptual LP, arguably the one of the top three Beatles album, if not, the top. Other incredible examples of the genius of this timeless band; dropping the rock instruments in favor of a harp and string quartet to sing the fluid and touching ballad: She's Leaving Home on the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band LP. No other rock band would have thought about doing that in 1967. They may not be the first, or the rockiness band of all time, but their genius spans over generations, making them the true spokesmen for rock n roll.
I was born in 1963,the youngest of 5 siblings. As an infant in middle-class suburbia,it was inevitable that the Beatles were my "mothers milk"They were the soundtrack to my life. It was the sound of shear genius. I re-discovered them in 1980 as a teenager when I found some of my sisters old records (yes, records!) in a closet. Compared to the crap on FM radio at that time,(I think they call it " new wave")I again recognized the sound of genius. Months later, John Lennon was shot. Needless to say,as a sensitive 16 year-old lad, that really fucked me up! Because of the weight and significance in their lyrics, The Beatles remain to this day the sountrack to my life. They are simply the best! The changes in mood and tempo in this song are brilliant! It is the sound of shear genius.
....that there isn't more music like this nowadays. I'm thirteen but I've never been fond of rap or hip hop and I absolutely LOVE the Beatles. Can't say this is my favorite song by them, but it's definitely in my top ten.
Seems to carry the theme | Reviewer: fulldawg | 12/7/07
of an earlier Beatles tune, "She's Leaving Home" from Sgt. Pepper's. When played in tandem with the songs it is linked to: "The Sun King", "Mr. Mustard", "Polythene Pam", and "She Came in Through the Bathroom Window" as it was originally released one can get a feeling of continuity since the songs seem to run into one another.
Great song, great group.
The song that catches my feeling | Reviewer: Harvey | 9/3/07
I'd like to say this might be the best song I've heard about the Beatles, the magic lyrics and the wonderful beats have made me back to my high school lifetime
Like most Beatles songs - Its in a league of its own | Reviewer: Brooksism | 5/11/07
I've never been able to say that any particular Beatles song is their best song. But if I were to have to try, this song would definitely be up for consideration. What amazes me the most is that the Beatles were barely into their 30's when they broke up!
Amazing song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/25/06
The lyrics look a little odd on paper, I must admit, but this song is just awesome in every way. The music is especially great and the fact that it's one of the better songs on, arguably, one of the best albums of all time says something!
This song changes pace and beat it's so incredible. It's a must hear of any Beatles song, not just this album, which is one of their best. (Abbey Road)
The song is excellent. With catchy lyrics and melodic beats, it is one of the greats on a superb album which lacks for none of these. 5* easy.
