Pink Floyd Yet another movie Lyrics

Last updated: 04/01/2012 11:00:00 AM

One sound, one single sound
One kiss, one single kiss
A face outside the window pane
However did it come to this?

A man who ran, a child who cried
A girl who heard, a voice that lied
The sun that burned a fiery red
The vision of an empty bed

The use of force, he was so tough
She'll soon submit, she's had enough
The march of fate, the broken will
Someone is lying very still

He has laughed and he has cried
He has fought and he has died
He's just the same as all the rest
He's not the worst, he's not the best

And still this ceaseless murmuring
The babbling that I brook
The seas of faces, eyes upraised
The empty screen, the vacant look

A man in black on a snow white horse,
A pointless life has run its course,
The red rimmed eyes, the tears still run
As he fades into the setting sun

M: You're going on that plane to take you where you belong.

W: But Richard no. What has happened to you? Last night we said--

M: --Last night we said a great many things. You said I was to do the thinking for both of us. Well, I've done a lot of it since then and it all adds up to one thing. You're getting on that plane with Victor where you belong.

W: But richard no, I, I --

M: --You have got to listen to me. Do you have any idea what you'd have to look forward to if you stayed here? Nine chances out of ten we'd both end up in a concentration camp. Isn't that true, Louis?

W: You're saying this only to make me go.

M: I'm saying it because its true. Inside us, we both know we belong with Victor. You're part of his work, the thing that keeps him going. If that plane leaves the ground and you're not with him, you'll regret it.

W: No.

M: Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and for the rest of your life.

W: But what about us?
what about us?
what about us?

Yet Another Movie / Round & Round.

Perfect song!! I like how Yet Another Movie has soundbites from the 1942 Warner Bros. movie "Casablanca". It also transitions into the instrumental "Round And Round". I like how 2 songs form into 1 instead of being seperated tracks on CD or Vinyl. It's only on A Momentary Lapse Of Reason album from 1987 & on the live album Delicate Sound Of Thunder. Perfect lyrics! I get that feeling about the guitars, drums, and keyboards in the whole album & all the songs. I made a tracklist of all the songs on the album:

1. Signs Of Life / Learning To Fly
2. The Dogs Of War / One Slip
3. On The Turning Away
4. Yet Another Movie / Round And Round
5. A New Machine (Part 1) / Terminal Frost / A New Machine (Part 2)
6. Sorrow

Excellent Album to have in my childhood.

Undoubtedly,Dave,as he himself says, has recorded most of 2 last albums of PF in his personal ship,Astoria, and he has added his own taste to all songs and that's why these 2 last albums,I mean The Division Bell and A momentary...,have become this much philosophical and not to forget that they contain very deep lyrical sense.
I adore you PF and my great inspiration is certainly David Gilmour.
R.I.P Richard and Syd

Yet another movie, by pink floyd | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/15/11

If you are not a true floyd fan than you dont know anything about music. Yet another movie is one of the very best songs they ever recorded. If you dont understand the lyrics you dont know anything about Life! Eagleheart

Greatest Song and mature lyrics | Reviewer: Nathan | 3/10/09

One of the greatest PF songs, and with thier music they use mature lyrics,
"The use of force, he was so tough
She'll soon submit, she's had enough
The march of fate, the broken will
Someone is lying very still".
and not,
"Im feeling so eeeeeeeemo, slit my throat blah blah blah."
Great band
Great lyrics

p.s. i do like that emo song :P
p.s.p.s. pink floyd is still my preference of what to listen to between the two
