Nat King Cole There Will Never Be Another You Lyrics

Last updated: 03/26/2011 11:00:00 AM

(Harry Warren, Mack Gordon)

This is our last dance together,
Tonight soon will be long ago.
And in our moment of parting,
This is all I want you to know...

There will be many other nights like this,
And I'll be standing here with someone new.
There will be other songs to sing,
Another fall...another spring...
But there will never be another you.

There will be other lips that I may kiss,
But they won't thrill me,
Like yours used to do.
Yes, I may dream a million dreams,
But how can they come true,
If there will never, ever be another you?

Yes, I may dream a million dreams,
But how can they come true,
If there will never, ever be...
Another you?

Tribute to Dame Elizabeth Taylor | Reviewer: Millie | 3/25/11

Upon hearing of Ms Taylor's death this week, the lyrics to "There will never be another you" came into my mind immediately. Thank you Ms Taylor for all your films, your immense talent, your beauty and charm, for all the charitable work on behalf of HIV-AIDS patients, your great courage, and for being a friend to Michael Jackson, Monty Clift, Rock Hudson, and to all your colleagues.God bless you always.

My Favorite Song of All Time | Reviewer: Lyric Jones | 9/14/04

There are few songs in the world that have moved me in the way that Nat King Cole's "There Will Never Be Another You" has. While the lyrics are simplistic, they speak to the core of what it is like to lose someone who you adore and whom no one could ever replace. The first time I heard this song was while it was playing in the background of a movie entitled "The World According To Garp", which was actor Robin Williams first starring role. I believe I was in my early 20's then. It was five years of searching before I actually was able to get a copy of that album, with the same title, and I have been completely in love with it and the vocal styles of Nat King Cole every since. It may not have been his most popular song, but to was certainly his best!!
