The song remains the same Lyrics - Led Zeppelin
Review The Song (4)
I had a dream. Crazy dream.
Anything I wanted to know, any place I needed to go
Hear my song. People won't you listen now? Sing along.
You don't know what you're missing now.
Any little song that you know
Everything that's small has to grow.
And it has to grow!
Na na na na wow!
California sunlight, sweet Calcutta rain
Honolulu starbright - the song remains the same.
Sing out Hare Hare, dance the Hoochie Koo.
City lights are oh so bright, as we go sliding... sliding... sliding through.

It took me about ten years to figure out this song, or at least come to a logical conclusion. It seems to me that we all have a voice and therefore we are all a part of the same song--life! Also, I don't think it's a coincidence that "I had a dream" sounds a lot like MLK's "I have a dream" which really led me to the aforementioned conclusion about this song.

Songs are pretty well the only things that remain the same. Anyone who realizes that understands this song. Everything is transient but once a song has been heard it will forever be that way. The rest of us and everything undergo change, we all "have to grow." Deep realizations tonight for me folks.
