Actually a phychic gave this song to me in a reading about a person in my life. In that perspective, it has a whole different meaning. I think like alot of Rogers songs, that the lyrics have a much deeper meaning than you can see on the surface, I have seen people saying that the song is basically warning that what is being said is that by taking the long time you are wasting time etc, I have to say that my interpretation is the complete opposite. In my opinion Roger is telling us the joy of taking the long way to our "home", a plce in our life where we feel good/comfortable and a bit of exploration along the way can help us to grow.
