Review The Song (22)

Awake on my airplane
Awake on my airplane
My skin is bare
My skin is theirs

I feel like a new-born
And I feel like a new-born

Awake on my airplane
Awake on my airplane
I feel so real

Hey, do you wanna take my picture
cuz, I won't remember
Hey, do you wanna take my picture
cuz, I won't remember
(repeat)-Yeah

I don't believe in
I don't believe in your sanctity; your privacy
sponsored links
I don't believe in
I don't believe in sanctity or hypocrisy
Can everyone agree that no one should be left alone?
Can everyone agree that they should not be left alone here?

And I feel like a new-born
And I feel like a new-born (kicking and screaming)

Hey, do you wanna take my picture
cuz, I won't remember
Hey, do you wanna take my picture
cuz, I won't remember
(Repeat)

Hey dad what do you think about your son now?
Hey dad what do you think about your son now?

Hey, do you wanna take my picture
cuz, I won't remember
Hey, do you wanna take my picture
cuz, I won't remember
Hey, do you wanna take my picture
cuz, I won't remember
Hey, do you wanna take my picture
cuz, I won't remember

My take | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/5/11

This song was popular while the whole Waco/David Koresh incident was fresh in peoples mind. I always felt that they subliminally said "Waco" instead of "Awake on" and then said "My skin is burned". He also references babies kicking and screaming. I liked the sound of the song, but those images in my head always disturbed me.

This song is about whatever you want it to be about...songs are often written from the intentions of the writer but I feel the universe works through the writer in any genre or media...songs become personal to the experience of us indiviudals who connect to them...I connect to this song via my life and being able to continue living it...thanks to Paul who this song reminds me of...and to whom I am connected.

This is one of my favorite songs i had the great fortune of rediscovering in recent months. The music is really euphoric and the guys vocals soothe you like a hottub. This was their 15 minutes and they didn't waste a millisecond of it. I love this song. What else can i say but Go Filter!!!

The truth | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/18/11

Actually this song is about one of the happiest times in his life. He said it was specifically about how he used to run around on a plane when he was a little kid. Oh yeah, he also stated that he ran NAKED around the plane haha

I really think the song was about all the thing these people said above mine, cause they all got certain meaning to us...doesnt matter why the singer wrote it its just the way it makes u feel some party mode some getting high mode some banging mode doesnt matter it sounds like an awesome song even tho the lyrics dont really make all that sence that automaticlly pops out. :)

The meaning behind "Hey dad what do you think about your son now?" | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/12/10

Those lines were not planned, when Richard Patrick was in the studio recording the lyrics he randomly belted out those lines, basically yelling at his real dad "what do you think about your son now!?" obviously his dad must of been a bit of an ass and told Richard he wouldn't amount to anything, and those lines are a "F&$# you" right back. Dont cha feel the love xD

Great Song. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/27/10

Richard Patrick had said he was drunk on a plane... ending up with this song. We don't know the whole truth about the meaning of this song. In my opinion, It's about past experiences. It might be about love & life's struggles considering how tough life is...& feeling like a "new born" after you were able to survive.

Not really sure... " Hey dad what do you think about your son now?"
... I guess it sure felt/sounded like HEY DUDE WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT YOUR SONG NOW? ... I maybe wrong, but I do think that's what Richard Patrick really meant.

Privacy | Reviewer: Tom | 3/27/10

Not knowing the lyrics too well, I read them. I thought of the ain in the a** paporazti. This singer guy & band on a plane, tired, long tour etc. With at least one person still taking pictures on board which continues the taking of his privacy. The line about look at your son, I thought would be pictures of him drunk im public outside a club or something, those unflattering photos that pop up of celebs. I do think it could be a drug story as well.

DRUGS. | Reviewer: KENZiE | 12/16/09

dude, this song is TOTALLY about drugs. listen to it, he's high.. talkin about "Awake on my airplane" = HIGH,
"Cuz you wana take my picture
Cuz I won't remember" = HELLO LIKE YOU WOULD REMEMBER THAT SHIT?! It's a great song though.Touches on drug addiction.. like he knows he's in the deep end.. "Hey dad what do you think about your son now?" that's pretty much a big WTF look at me now.. i'm not myself anymore, the drugs have taken over. that's the way i see it folks. & if you've ever had a drug addiction long enough, you get to that point where it's "what the hell have i gotten myself into" but there's really no turning back once you've gone that far. anyways.. GREAT SONG ♥

You have all wrong | Reviewer: S.W | 12/8/09

I saw them Letterman late night and the singer stated he was drunk on a plane with the band.Got sloppy and shed his clothes and the only thing he remembered was a person taking photos of him.
Sp decided to write about it.
