Sliver Lyrics
Artist(Band):Nirvana
Mom and Dad went to a show
Dropped me off at grandpa Joe's
I kicked and screamed, said please, oh no
[chorus]
Grandma take me home X8
Had to eat my dinner there
Mashed potatos and stuff like that
Couldn't chew my meat too good
(chorus)
Said why don't you stop your crying
Go outside and ride your bike
Thats what I did, I killed my toad
(chorus)
After dinner, I had ice cream
Fell asleep, and watched tv
Woke up in my Mother's arms
Grandma take me home X19
I wanna be alone

Review about Sliver
Nirvana | Reviewer: w/e | 2/27/2008Ahh.. Nirvana A band of mysteries. they are so simple yet complex loved by all and hated by many more. to be able to conjure up lyrics as striahgt forward as this yet still have the scarcity and thought provacity of it all. it's intense. My opinion Kurt Cobain and all of Nirvana are all under-appreciated musically and emotionally.
best 2 minute song EVER | Reviewer: mike o | 2/23/2008
Always been a big fan of straight shooting, get-to-the f'ing-point rock and roll songs. (Blur's Song 2; Kinks' All Day and All of the Night) My head and my foot shake a little harder every time I hear it. Great lyrics too.
Kurt Cobain. | Reviewer: Lexi | 12/30/2007
Kurt is my idol. I admire his talent and ability to express his feelings through such a unique way. He was the kind of person who could be so incredibly famouse but still live the life style of someone like you or me. He is amazing. Oh and for everyone who thinks he killed him self, he didnt, Courtny Love Killed him.

Gramma take Me Home | Reviewer: hanzoushinrei | 9/10/2007
This song is funny/humorous the first time you hear it..."gramma take me home! Gramma take me home!"....the 2nd band who can do grunge well is Butterfingers
CANT STOP LISTENING THIS SONG AGAIn AND AGAIN | Reviewer: Majid | 8/20/2007
It brings back the child inside me, problem is that now I miss my Grandma when she left me

good job, george. "grandpa joe's" rhymes with "to a show." that's called song writing. sometimes it stretches the truth a little. or is creativity too profound for you?
Kurdt Rocks | Reviewer: George | 3/23/2007
Ive recently finished reading heavier than heaven and it has helped me understand so much about Kur(d)t... and this song says it all about his childhood, and mostly his hate, but hidden love for his mother, wendy. And yes simone, this is about his childhood, your SO observant! lol.... But i am confused because he never had a grandpa joe
Sliver, i think... | Reviewer: Simone | 2/16/2007
I could imagine Kurt wrote his song while thinking of his own childhood. With his parents divorcing and all..
whatever sells | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/8/2006
I love the drums, and the "pump" of this song, but I keep looking for a "sinister" theme from Kurdt-lol I can't find one, so far...
