Second Heartbeat Lyrics - Avenged Sevenfold
Review The Song (60)
We keep writing, talking and planning, but everything's changing,
We all know what to do but no one does it,
Now this time has passed and full of regret,
Two in my heart have left me a while, I stand alone,
When they get back, it won't be the same,
Never be the same,
My life, you've always been there,
Now you're gone and my heads spinning,
Left the childhood, left the memories, left the good times in the past,
Moving on your time has run out,
Wishing the clock would stand still, the world can wait,
Wasting away once again, once lived as friends,
As time passes by, regrets for the rest of my life,
The ones who I confide were gone in the black of the night,
Never will I forget you, and all the memories past,
So rarely I get to see your face,
Growing I looked to you in guidance.
We knew that time would kill us, but you're still so close to me,
To me you were my life,
To me you were my soul companion,
Now you are so far away,
Nothing can take away the time and the memories we had,
Come back - to the days when we were young
Come back - to the days when nothing mattered
to the days without regret
And I feel time passes by, regrets for the rest of my life,
The ones who I confide were gone in the black of the night
As time passes by, regrets for the rest of my life,
The ones who I confide were gone in the black of the night.

HI:) the next moron that says the Rev "Jimmy" didnt write fiction im going to come find you and rip out your overys/ balls. Okay? The Rev DID write "FICTION" it was first tittled death but during the making of "Nightmare" they had Matt sing over top of him and renamed the song fiction. When Jimmy first died the press thought it was a suicied but it was just a accidental overdose. the press thought the song "Death" was a suicide note, but it was really just another great Avenged Sevenfold creation. So thank you moron as in, @ siremarticles. for your completly wrong words of wisdom.

FICTION | Reviewer: aerin baker | 1/6/12
to who ever keeps saying the rev didnt write fiction you are very wrong, he wrote that whole song and recorded it himself except for Matt Shadows lyrics, and how could you not recognize the rev singing in that song?
to the guy with the review labled "idiot" | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/18/11
i dont know who ur fighting with but god hates us was actually written with the rev. It was his idea to say "god hates us" in it. theres a interview on youtube where they say that. he just wanted to say something shocking like the way they come up with johnny christs nickname just cause it would offend some people.

To the fool who is telling someone to GTFO because they aare a "poser" fan. You sir, are a nincompoop. The song God Hates Us was written while Shadows was mourning over Jimmy. He was looking out his window across the beach, and most of the lyrics came to him. About 80% of the RELEASED Nightmare album was written with the help of Jimmy. They changed the lyrics around on Nightmare, one of the other songs. L2 read and watch interviews, deadbeat.

Dude the Rev did not wright the lyrics for all of their songs. Hell on the nightmare album only "Nightmare" and "Danger line" were lyrically written when he died, so M. shadows wrote the rest of the album's lyrics aside from "So far away" witch Gates wrote and "Fiction" witch was half written by the rev before he died but shadows finished it. Also Shadows wrote the lyrics for "Lost it all" "4AM" and "Not ready to die". On the self title album the only songs that the Rev wrote lyrically in full were "Almost easy" "Afterlife" "Brompton cocktail" and "A little piece of heaven". He also helped Shadows wright lyrics on "Critical acclaim" "Scream" and "Lost" and shadows wrote "Gunslinger" "Dear god" and "Unbound" by himself. I am pretty sure that M shadows contributed plenty of lyrics to City of Evil, Waking the Fallen, and Sounding the seventh trumpet as well. Shadows wrote more lyrics then the Rev did. You make it sound like the Rev wrote the lyrics to 90-95% of their songs, and he did not. they are my all time favorite band so dont come in here saying stuff that aint true about the band.

hey, personally, both BMTH and A7X are my favorite bands, equally and for their reasons, yes the fretwork of syn Gates makes Lee Malia seem a bit lackluster, but their music reflects their lyrics, and their message and that's why it counts, Avenged does the same and has done it in several niches and genres with experimenting, some songs by both bands sound similar moreso to BMTH, but to me the messages are important in both bands, why argue over which is better and be petty just to argue, when you could look at the music and admire it and it's lyrical content, I thinks fans of either band saying their band is better are insecure and feel a need to argue, opinions are like assholes everybody has em but no one wants to hear em. Stop burning bridges and drive off of them.
Why is this song labeled explicit? | Reviewer: John | 7/25/11
I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but every time that you look at this song on Amazon, it always says that it's explicit. On every lyrics site that I've used to find lyrics for this song, there's nothing explicit about. SO WHY THE FUCK DO THEY LABEL IT AS EXPLICIT!!!?
My favorite song of all time~~ | Reviewer: Demitri Naerre | 6/15/11
Okay, I don't give a shit about who is better because, guess what? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of which is better. Opinions are not wrong, they are personal, and people can share them, but not cause argument over them, that's just pointless and stupid, and nobody wins. Anyway, this song is very beautifully written, and they put it into screams very well. The guitar solo is fucking amazing, I only dream of playing it, rock on Synyster. Personally, I love this band. But this song is the best. It has special meaning to me as well, because the lyrics exactly fit my best friend's situation right now, and I wish I could make her feel happy again. But I can't just yet. This song gives me hope though, somehow.

right on, dude!
this is a band that cannot be compared 2 any others. no other band has made such a badass screamo song out of such beautiful lyrics. they're like nothing the music world has ever seen b4, so we can't really compare anyone else that's nothing like them
putting my two cents in | Reviewer: joebidenstesticals | 3/1/11
Im not saying a7x is better than bmth or bmth is better than a7x because in my opinion both of the bands are awesome. Everybody is entitled to their opinion and you can disagree if you want. I dont care. All im saying just because you like one band better dosent mean you got to diss the other band when ALOT of people like them.

Avenged Sevenfold's entire set of the SWU Music Festival, that will take place in Brazil, will be broadcasted on Multishow to replace Linkin Park. Apparantly there have been some contract issues and Multishow has decided to no longer broadcast Linkin Park's set and chose to replace them with Avenged Sevenfold, due to the many requests from fans.

ok, i dont know a shit bout this BMTH thingy. But A7X is the best band. Forever. All i know, this is the best song that features Johnny Christ. He's a great bassist and this is his masterpiece. But of course the best A7X member is Synyster, his playing style (along with Matt Heafy's) influenced my bass playing style. Yeah, so three cheers for A7X, fuck BMTH
