Saved Lyrics - Bob Dylan

Review The Song (4)

I was blinded by the devil
Born already ruined
Stone-cold dead
As I stepped out of the womb
By His grace I have been touched
By His word I have been healed
By His hand I have been delivered
By His spirit I Have been sealed.

I've been saved
By the blood of the lamb
By the blood of the lamb
And I'm so glad
Yes, I'm so glad

I'm so glad
So glad
I want to thank you, Lord
I just want to thank You Lord
Thank You Lord.

By his truth I can be upright
By his strength I do endure
By His power I've been lifted
In His love I am secure
He bought me with a price
Freed me from the pit
Full of emptiness and wrath
And the fire that burns in it.

I've been saved
By the blood of the lamb
By the blood of the lamb
And I'm so glad
Yes, I'm so glad
I'm so glad
So glad
I want to thank you, Lord
I just want to thank You Lord
Thank You, Lord.
Nobody to rescue me
Nobody would dare
I was going down for the last time
But by His Mercy I've been spared
Not by works
But by faith in Him who called
For so long I've been hindered
For so long I've been stalled.

I've been saved
By the blood of the lamb
By the blood of the lamb
And I'm so glad
Yes, I'm so glad
I'm so glad
So glad
I want to thank you, Lord
I just want to thank You Lord
Thank You, Lord.

Oh, you dont know how happy youve made us!
We believe youre going to live forever in the Spirit with Jesus!
And through your coming on through
Millions of souls who are following you, will too.

Oh, heavens the best Never-Ending Tour we ever could perceive,
And the good news is, that the Lord is reaching out to open that door
To all who will lay done their life to live for Him, and believe they receive
What He did at the cross for us at Calvary.

Oh, the wonder of His Love!
Oh, the joy of HIs Holy Spirit like a pure white dove,
Oh, the preciousness of His holy blood.

John 3:16-17

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Thanks Bobby, for letting your LIGHT shine in one of the darkest hours the world has ever known. It hasnt been easy, for any of us. The words to this song come to me, as I
think of your life, and what a real man of God, you are, to go through all youve gone through and be finishing at the best finishing line of all - in the LORD!

Youll Never Walk Alone

When you walk through a storm,
Hold your head up high,
And dont be afraid of the dark,
At the end of the storm is a golden light,
And the sweet silver song of a lark.

Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Though your dreams be tossed and blown,
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart,
And youll never walk alone...
No, youll never walk alone.

We love you, Long may you run.... and May you stay, forever young
Heaven's a place where we'll never grow old, because of the greatest story ever told;
Jesus is that heart of gold!

Inspired text -inspired song | Reviewer: Dan | 3/31/14

God used Bob & Tim to write an amazingly inspirational song that spoke to a lost generation - and to us all as we listen now and into the future. No matter where you are in your walk with Christ, this song, being inspired of the Holy Spirit, expresses full of pure joy with its driving pulse and simple blues gospel based chords. It should be sung in churches now and all the young people writing 'praise music' should be required by the elder leadership to listen to this song, LP as well as the other lps of this period. The doctrine is sound, clear and delivered with power. The musicianship is perfection as well - and should be required learning for that aspect alone.
I am so glad I was young and saved when this came out, I am so glad I saw Bob play this music when I did in Nov of 1980. I am so glad that he was raised up by God to deliver these songs and words when he did, the way he did for the time that he did. It lives to day with the same power as it did when it came out serving to express the gospel to those that otherwise would not have heard it and now they have no excuse.
Lord preserve those who are yours according to your promises.

I love this song, they sang it at the last great revival I remember, in Brownsville, Florida.
Thankyou Bob Dylan. There isn't one thing I would want to change about it!
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thes 1:2

The whole gospel message.... fallen man, condemned at birth, only by His strength and not by works, resting in His accomplished work. Thanks for sharing these lyrics. Next question: Did Stevie Ray Vaughn ever have a born again experience. I sure hope so...loved his talent...tragic loss to music, hope to see him in heaven.
