Iron Maiden Remember Tomorrow Lyrics

Last updated: 09/21/2013 07:29:31 AM

(Steve Harris/Paul Di'anno)

Unchain the colors before my eyes,
Yesterday's sorrows, tomorrow's white lies.
Scan the horizon, the clouds take me higher,
I shall return from out of the fire.

Tears for remembrance, and tears for joy,
Tears for somebody not this lonely boy.
Out in the madness, the all seeing eye,
Flickers above us, to light up the sky.

Unchain the colors before my eyes,
Yesterday's sorrows, tomorrow's white lies.
Scan the horizon, the clouds take me higher,
I shall return from out of the fire.

Remember Tomorrow is the third track from the self-titled debut album. Steve Harris described this song as "An old stage favourite which the crowds were always into". Paul Di'Anno said that the song was actually written in tribute of his grandfather. "Tears for remembrance and tears of joy", sings Paul Di'Anno on this underrated album track, on which the band do their best to sound profound. **

Really great song.
I first heard the song as an Anthrax Cover. Try it!
Don't want to say that its better then the original, but it's so much better then what Metallica and Opeth did later.

Yeah, original is the best, and metallica did great cover, in metallicas style, and i don't care for opeth, it's nothing special(the cover). Maiden rules, they are the best!

This is awesome song!!!

The original is always the best version because "Maiden" wrote it. Metallica also did a KILLER version of this song but the original will always kick the most ass. So Fuck this "Deeper Meaning" bullshit, FUCK OPETH!!!!

Remember Tomorrow, sung by Mikâel | Reviewer: AzniV | 11/23/07

Opeth has covered this song and with Mikâel the song is taken to a deeper place.. it's more piercing, i recommend that one too.

As Paul Dianno said it... | Reviewer: Prophet DoW | 10/10/07

Former singer of IM, while performing one of his solo gigs at Belgrade, Serbia, said once that this song, as well as a few others on the album were dedicated to a guy who was getting clean from acid :)

One of only a few mellow offerings by Iron Maiden
I find this song eerie, hypnotic, and surreal I would
like to see an entire album built around it the album that it is on comes closest to filling this bill.
