Review about Only Superstition A nice song. | Reviewer: Joe Trava | 9/28/09 I'm a musician myself since primary school, and also like to compose songs, this song is another nostalgic and hopeful song like the review says, I didn´t understand the lyrics, thanks for clearing me up on that, but the music resembles much of what I was doing the lasts years of the 80´s and beggining the 90's, but Chris sure went ahead of me geniusly, and the music is overwhelmingly beautiful, almost all his songs are excelent. God bless you Chris Martin and Coldplay. giving up the easy choices | Reviewer: Mandala | 9/8/09 This to me is one which captures the great sadness of fighting one's devils ("copperhead"). Fighting one's evils is usually not a struggle of destructive type but one of making hard choices usually choosing the less exciting and flashy life. This selfishness says the life of good choices is only superstition --- a life lived for others is not of the practical realm. This song in this interpretation captures this struggle but does not wallow in it. It suggests hope because the act of crying could mean the giving up of the easy choices one faces. A song well-made.
