No Borders, No Nations Lyrics
Artist(Band):Anti-Flag
I always thought if you want to change the world
Then you have to start with yourself
So if the heads of state want to end terrorism
They should go ahead and kill themselves
I will not sign my blind faith away
To an unjustly leader of the unjust police state
Corporate masters live in their cess pool
Of extreme wealth and excess
Whoa Oh (x2)
The phrase world leaders
Does not describe the heads of state
Those few in power
Work only for the corporate sake
No action, no interest, no humanity at all
As the corporate towers rise up
They watch the people fall
A government untouchable by the people
Run by the corporations of the world
Enslaving mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters
Profits put before people
Equal force, equal reaction
Equal suppression, equal intimidation
Equal propaganda, equal rebellion
I won't sign my blind faith away
To an unjustly leader of the unjust police state
Corporate masters live in their lapse pool
Of extreme wealth and excess
Whoa Oh (x2)
The phrase world leaders
Does not describe the heads of state
Those few in power
Work only for the corporate sake
No action, no interest, no humanity at all
As the corporate towers rise up...
We've got to make a change
No religions, sexual preference
And regardless of your race
We've got to make a change
No war, corporate run
Governments, no police state
We've got to make a change
For the good of the human race
We've got to make a change
For the good of the human race
And you still look me in the eye
And you still wonder why
Your cities fucking burn
No borders, no nations
No flags, no patriots
Whoa Oh (x2)

Has anyone actually listened to this song? | Reviewer: shaun bassel | 11/25/2008
By the way, it DOESN'T EVER MENTION GEORGE BUSH. The opening lines say "If the HEADS OF STATE want to end terrorism, they should go ahead and kill themselves." Lol, learn to actually listen to the song before you assume the lyrics are 100% correct, especially when they aren't even endorsed by the band members themselves. Trust me, anti-flag doesn't ever mention George bush in this song.
you people... | Reviewer: Caleb | 10/9/2008
Kieth you're an idiot.
You people need to stop reading so much into their lyrics. Althous some of A-f's songs are clear ways of getting a point across, most are just their own ideas and they're just embellishing on them or radical resolutions. The best way to get a clearer look at their perspective is to read the essays or check out their site....but their ideas are still kind of hard to make out..ha
either way its not worth fighting about.
they're not mainstream, they're not ignorant just a little unrealistic but at least they're making a difference.

so is this band pro-globalization or anti-globalization? cause last time i checked, back in the 90's anti-flag liked borders, nations, and flags.
or...is this just another dumb anarchy song?
i kinda miss the days when anti-flag lyrics made sense.
well... | Reviewer: james NOYB | 3/2/2008
sure anti-flag has views some of us dont like, sure anti flag does things (or doesnt do things for that matter Jeremy) but the only way you could ever have a perfect band that stood for everything you beleived, thought and felt is if you were in the band yourself.
also, as for anyone questioning anti-flags ability to portray world issues in a manor other-wise willed to gain money, you are wrong. anti flag sings about issues that few other can. they always have and i hope they always will. the fact of the matter is that whether people understand the lyrics or not, there will always be posers and if enough "posers" come out from their houses with pictures of burning flags and studded jackets on their shoulders, to at least PRETEND to make a stand for "humanity", then the difference will be made. the minority always becomes the majority eventualy, and so the cycle continues.
Common Sense | Reviewer: Jeremy | 2/3/2008
"We elected him as president so why does everyone complain?"
Why would an anarchist complain about the president? Because, contrary to your bullshit, common sense would dictate that any real anarchist didn't elect him. They didn't try to elect the other asshole either. Stop believing that the ballot is going to be your savior.
You're right though, most people who listen to mainstream anarcho-punk music know nothing about anarchism, that genre has sold out just like every other. There is a sense of irony when rich bands encourage people to kill the rich. I've yet to see any of these bands dumpster diving or doing other freegan activities to fight consumerism (which pays for their limos). Sure, some protest, but so passively that it becomes an obvious popularity stunt. Until I see these people getting arrested for refusing to back down to cops at a protest, AND THEN going right back once they get released, I will count them amongst the corrupt rich.

I agree with both Keith & Ben. I think that you shouldn't be totally guided by these songs.
"We've got to make a change
No religions, sexual preference"
Can the planet survive without having faith? Look into things for your self as well. It will give you a much bigger view of it all. Take the song The WTO are Killers. What the WTO does can be seen as good, but the truth is the only reason they are doing it is because their getting something out of it.
@Keith. For me, AF are more information, about injustice. I make my own desigion.
@Ben. I think your reaction was a wee over the top xD. But you are right.
Hey Keith...... FUCK YOU | Reviewer: Ben | 11/19/2007
People don't follow Anti-Flag simply because its "cool" to hate Bush. Maybe some do, but whose to say people don't follow fucking trends. I've listened to Anti-Flag for longer than I can remember, and I'm proud of that. This band has a fucking VOICE, they call out flaws in this shitty system, and speak their opinion. They aren't like the shit you probably enjoy about being dumped by a girl, or getting a hard-on from the new New Found Glory CD. So go back to your Molded Bands and cry yourself to sleep while other people actual stand up for their views. Anti-Flag isn't trying to persuade you to hate Bush, but to express truth through song. Get it through your thick fucking head, or is it too full of "Cut my wrists and black my eyes"? Fucking Weak
PS- Members of Anti-Flag show up at protests constantly and stand BEHIND their views, what the fuck have your bands ever done besides bathe in the money they rake in from your record purchases.
mmm | Reviewer: Isaac | 11/13/2007
So people follow anti-flag because they're doing the 'cool thing'? hahaha i'm sorry but that's crap man. saying that you don't love Bush is the same thing as saying hey I like anti-flag because they take a stance on something. you're doing the same thing. anti-flag has their opinions, and many of their opinions are backed up in their lyric books; and you have your opinion =] have a good day.
!! | Reviewer: keith | 10/18/2007
Okay man. We elected him as president so why does everyone complain? Everyone always jumps off the bandwagon and follows whatever is popular. Can't people think for themselves and not be slighted by bands like anti-flag who have no idea what they're talking about? I'm not saying that i love George Bush, but I make my decision by myself not by a song that I think is catchy.
Again .. | Reviewer: maggie | 7/6/2007
Okayy , well .. Obviouslyy nobody comments about these completley kickass individuals .. so . All I got to say is that the government in this song, is just a bunch of shit . We need someone better to guide us through the hard times . And I hate to say it, but in this case, Bush Is and ass . We need a new President . =]
